This 1966 Chevrolet Custom Cab big window shortbed fleetside pickup has been in my family for almost 45 years. It is an original California black plate truck that has survived in amazing condition. The doors close perfectly, all body gaps are excellent and the floorpans are original and in great shape. Good glass and a nice, solid undercarriage. The truck drives like a gem, even lowered on its factory coil spring suspension. This is a hyper-rare 327 V8 model (first and only year the 327 was offered in this body). Although the original engine has been replaced with a great running 350 V8, it would not be hard to source a proper 327 if you were going for originality. The original Powerglide has also been upgraded to a TH400 that shifts really well. This C-10 runs nice - The engine has 45 psi of oil pressure at idle and has an Edelbrock intake, Carter AFB 625 carburetor, finned valve covers, HEI distributor and a performance air cleaner. The newer dual exhaust with glasspacks sounds super. The interior includes the optional tachometer, ammeter and oil pressure gauges. It also has the original factory air conditioning interior components, although the underhood parts are no longer present. The truck has new Cooper Cobra GT 255/60/15 rear tires, stainless steel side mirrors and stainless salt flats style wheel covers. The truck does have a little rust but 99% of it is confined to the front fenders which can be easily replaced. The body is super solid but does need the sheet metal on the lower left bed side straightened a little (no kinks or rust). There is also a little bubbling in the lower front door corners and it needs a new wood bed. This truck would make an excellent winter project. Free and clear California title with no back fees due. Comes with the original Protect-O-Plate document pictured showing all original options and VIN. This could be a $25K+ truck with not much effort.
