1991 Mercedes Benz 560SEL. Mint Condition. 70,900 miles currently. Always Garaged in Phoenix. This is my personal car I purchased from a nuclear engineer 2 years ago with 62,000. It currently has 70,900. I am the second owner. It a clean CarFax with a no accident history. The best description for the car is mint, concours condition both inside and out. It has always been a non-smoker owned car. Current & Past Ownership:I am a 60 year old airline pilot and work and live in the Phoenix area. I am very particular about my equipment. 2 years ago my brother assisted me in locating the best 560SEL in the area.My brother has owned several 126s and is an expert regarding Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche. We only focused on low milage 1991s, the last year for this model. After a long search, we found this 560SEL locally advertised by the son of a recently deceased nuclear engineer. On inspection of the car we found it to be in mint condition. The engineer bought it brand new From Schumacher Mercedes Benz here in Scottsdale, AZ. He kept it garaged its entire life. He was a non-smoker as was his wife. Maintenance History:Included with the car is the factory service booklet that shows the car made regular visits to the Mercedes dealership during its warranty period.The son said there was an associated service folder but he was unable to locate it at the time of sale. Since I have owned the car I have changed out both rear hydraulic accumulators, removed and cleaned the hydro reservoir, and flushed the entire hydraulic system. I have done regular oil and filter changes.I flushed the power steering system and installed new filter. I also verified all other fluids are clean and full. Current Operating Condition:When I purchased the car it was in perfect operating and physical condition with all onboard systems working perfectly. The AC blows cold, cruise, electric seats, electric antenna, sunroof, door locks, all perfect. The original stereo did not and currently does not work.I choose not to replace it in an effort to retain originality. This car drives and appears as new, shift perfectly, and smells like to day it was delivered. Exterior:The exterior is in virtually in like new condition. There are no paint flaws, discoloration, or clear coat issues. There are two very minor door dings that could easily be pushed out with the painless repair process. The car shows a 9.5 of 10 in every way. The official Mercedes paint code is 702 smoke silver metallic. All chrome trim is perfect. The grill is prefect. All rubber seals are as new. Interior:The interior is in totally like new conditon. Factory color code is 265 mushroom full leather. There is little to no wear to the driver seat bolster. Both front seats are perfect with only the most minor signs of use on the driver seats. The rear seats look like they have never been used. All the leather in the entire car is as soft, supple, and pliable as the day it came out of the factory. The dash is crack free. All door trim is excellent. All door panels are perfect with no modifications. All carpets are unstained and in like new condition. Mats have always been used as all carpets are perfects. The entire headliner is perfect. Tires & WheelsThis month I had all four wheels professionally refinished for $600. They are all perfect with no curb rash. All four tires are matched Michelins with 65 percent equal tread remaining. Balance and drive quality is excellent. Truck Area:The trunk area is spotless. The entire trunk carpet and side panels are as new. The spare tire has never been on the ground and the spare alloy wheel is factory new. The original tool kit is in the spare tire well. ========================================================================================================== This is an exceptional no excuse 560SEL.
