This has been folks that want to restore themselves and yet have an operational vehicle. This of course also makes a huge difference in the price (note the yellow and white perfect 600 I also have on Ebay at the moment). Well, here is the answer to those requests. This 600 instantly starts, idles smoothly, has one of the cleanest engines (with proper harmonic balancer and perfect heater components in the exhaust system) that you will ever see. The engine has a click or tap that my mechanic believes to be a timing chain tensioner issue. We see this in many Isetta engines and it is not worth the work to correct unless you need to open up the engine for other reasons. This car has plenty of power, shifts (1st is bit hard to find but you can adjust the linkage to your likes) to all gears, and has reliable brakes. But the big thing is the body and glass – the glass is very good (a wiper mark on the windshield that is light enough to polish out without creating distortions) all around. The body has the original paint! While you will want to repaint it is rare to find one with original paint that allows you to verify that almost miraculously the car has absolutely no rust damage! No rust through anywhere. This the soundest body of any 600 I have ever had. This is all original, no restoration to correct things. The floor pans are extremely solid, the car is straight (the doors open, close, and latch very soundly). Please look closely at the images. In one you can see the only dent/scratch that is on the car – this will be very easy to correct. You will need new wiper arms and blades. The car will be shipped drained of all fuel and no battery. If you have wanted a very solid 600 to drive / restore, this is the car for you. As mentioned else where, I am NOT a dealer. I mentioned a possible issue with the timing change. Not so, in fact the 600 engine cam is gear driven (it does not have a timing chain!). I am sorry for this confusion - I was thinking of an Isetta 300 that we will be listing this coming week (it does indeed have some timing chain noise) when I should have been thinking of the 600. The engine in this car is very strong.
