1951 Jaguar Mark V DHC - Matching Serial Number Car Please note: This sale is for the Flat Black primered Mark V and not the Lavendar Grey Mark V Mechanical, Electrical and Metal Preservation Restoration is complete, this is a show quality restoration project ready for final paint, and upholstery to match your color choice. Brakes Reconditioned - all wheel cylinders and master cylinder rebuilt by Apple Hydraulics - all new hoses and tubing - road wheels balanced - brake shoes reconditioned. Engine Rebuilt - 3-1/2 Litre original engine - all new pistons and rings, crank turned and balanced, Head rebult with all new lifters and springs, rocker shaft rebuilt - all new main journal bearings and cam shaft bearings, new timing chain, new seals and gaskets throughout. Engine painted in a semi gloss high temp black, oil pan has been cleaned to bare metal and powder coated in a clearcoat.Valve cover polished, and all bright work reconditioned. Headers are ceramic / aluminum coated to withstand 1200 degree heat without discoloring. - stainless steel exhaust system - Gearbox and Rear End Rebuilt - drive shaft and univesal joints rebuilt - all new bearings, bushings and gaskets, all drive train components, cleaned to bare metal and powder coated. Suspenstion Rebuilt - Leaf springs reconditioned - cleaned, powder coated and lubricated with a syntheitc grease before being assembled onto the car - front shocks rebuilt - all A frame components replaced and reconditioned, tie rods, king bushings, ball joints, torsion bars, sway bar, steering rods etc.... Body off frame up restoration- all subcomponenets have been cleaned to bare metal and powder coated. Chassis - cleaned to bare metal and powder coated - in a semi gloss black. Body has been walnut shell cleaned to bare metal and coated with an epoxy primer, the main section of the coach has been color coated lavendar grey with Glasurit before assembly onto the chassis. Front and Rear bumpers have been rechromed and as with all other components on the vehicle the subcomponents have been cleaned to bare metal and powder coated in a semi gloss black.. Electrical - New wiring harnesses from Rhode Island Wiring - The following have been installed on the car: instrument panel harness; front main harness; rear main harness; headlight harnesses; tailight harness; spare tire door harness - all instruments have been reconditioned - voltage regulator, dynamo, starter, and ignition coil have been refurbished; headlights and tail lights rebuilt - all original glass. Front and side window glass is original. Fuel System - SU Carbs Rebuilt - New SU Fuel Pump new - Gas tank media blasted and sealed - fuel sensor float replaced - Fuel lines replaced Woodwork the dash and glove box woodwork has been reconditioned. all original woorwork is included with the car. Woodwork needs to be reworked, on the rear quarter panels Steeringwheel and steering box has been reconditioned, manette and horn system is like new, inlcudes original windtone horns. Orogonal Radiomobile radio, amplifier and antenna come with the car. This car has the antenna mounted under the front fender wing. Cooling and heating system system has been reconditioned, new 4 core radiator and water pump. Heater core is new, all radiator and heater hoses are new. Water intake manifold has been reconditioned and clearcoated. Brightwork - all original chrome is included with the car - the front and rear bumper chrome has been reconditioned - the S bars and the side door and quarter panels need to be rechromed. The headlight trim chrome and the center rail chrome on the bonnet is new OEM. Tool tray area - tool lid has been rebuilt - the chrome hinges and hasps have been replaced, new felt on the interior. All tools come with the car. Spare Tire tray and door cleaned to bare metal and powder coated. Wheel rims have been bare metal blasted and powder coated to lavendar grey. New Tires and Tubes. Beatuty rings on the rims. Exterior door handles include locks and are new OEM Interior window and door handles are new OEM. Upholstery patterns for the top, doors, sunvisors, headliner and seats come with the car. The 1951 model has the air conditioning cooling vents on the front quarter panels and the newer style front quarter window wings. The interior upholstery panels are on the car - side doors - front and rear quarters. Needs: Paint - Chrome and Upholstery with a little Woodwork.
