Up for auction is a nice, solid, complete VW type 3 squareback. This car was recently pulled out of a barn where it had been stored for 10 years. I purchased the car from the second owner who owned the car since the late 70's- Its pretty obvious that he took good care of the car. As you can see in the pics, the body is straight and sound without any evidence of previous collison damage. Last year the car was given a tune up, tank cleaning and mechanical once-over to make it a running/ driving car again. I put a new battery in it just a few days ago and it fired right up. The engine is mechaincally very healthy and doesnt knock, rattle, or smoke. The clutch is very solid and the transmission shifts as it should. Most everything on the car works including the heat and defrost fan. The brakes feel and work fine, but, I would recommend checking them for safety before putting the car back on the road. The interior in the car was refurbished in the late 90's with a new "loop" style carpet kit and seat covers. You can also see in the pics that most of it looks great, but, there is a rip in the drivers seat near the headrest and a rip in the headliner near the rear hatch. Over all this is a nice car and more solid than most- Since it has been parked for some time, I would put fresh fuel in it, a new set of tires, and adjust/clean the carb before I called it a daily driver.
