Vehicle Detail

Currently licensed and legal to drive; this unique Cotner-Bevinton ambulance served the United States military for many years, prior to being used by a small volunteer Fire Department in north Texas. Built on an Oldsmobile 98 chassis, there is no divider between the driver and patient compartments. Another unique feature is the dual folding jump seats, with detachable seatbelts for both. This appears to be an AF spec. The body is intact, some corrosion on the hood edge, and a few minor scratches and dents. One rear floor pan needs to be replaced. The interior is in good shape, including the head liner, except for a small tear that can be repaired. The paint is faded, and the AF paint is visible in areas. The motor is strong, turns over easily and could be a daily driver with just a little work. The AC compressor is missing, but is a standard GM part. The great thing about this vehicle is that being built on a standard Olds 98 chassis, parts are still available. I bought this car over 20 years ago, and have very little info available. I will try to answer any specific questions you may have, prior to the end of the auction. The mechanical siren was donated to the local VFD already, and the roof light works, but the base will need to be replaced. I have set the Reserve at a very fair price for this is a great car. Don’t let it get away; it may be many years before another comes available. This is also forsale locally, and has generated interest. If you would like to make a cash offer, use the “ask a question button” to contact me. This Olds does have a "G" series motor, but I will not accept an offer for just the motor. Deposit of $500 within 48 hours of deal, remainder by cash or cashiers check. Although this car drives, it will need tires to be driven very far. If you would like to inspect this unique ambulance, contact me and we can arrange a time.
