Vehicle Detail

1994 CHEVROLET LUMINA: One (1) 1994 Chevrolet Lumina 4-Door Euro. I have owned this car for the last 7 years, and was used as a courtesy car for customers to use for local transportation. Current milage is 137,344 actual miles. As you can see in the pictures, this car has the normal rust around the rear wheel openings, which seems common to this body style. The remainder of the body is very solid, including the floor pans and rocker areas. The car has been sitting for awhile, however I recently used the car for a period of 5 weeks, and put approximately 2,000 miles on it. It is equipped with the 3.1 litre V-6, and runs great. It uses no oil or water, and gets over 20 mpg. The brakes work well, although the brake anit-lock light is illuminated. The car drives well with no pulling left or right. The cruise control, power windows, and power door locks work. There are 2 known issues with this car. The windshield is cracked from the rear view mirror area, accross the top to the right side, and then down to the bottom of the windshield. This is on the passenger side and in no way affects the drivers vision. The other issue is with the ignition switch. The ignition switch works fine in all modes, except for the engine start position. this seems to be a common problem with this model. You can see in the under hood pictures we have run a wire from the starter solenoid to the hot battery post under the hood, as a temporary way to engage the starter. This issue could be fixed one of two ways. the ignition switch in the steering column can be replaced at an approx. cost of $250 parts and labor, or, a new wire could be run to the interior of the car and a momentary push button starter switch could be installed for approx. $20. Based on the age and value of the car, this could be resolved by the new owner based on their own personal preference. If I was going to keep the car, I would simply install the momentary push button start switch for $20, and an hours work. As the car sits now, you have to open the hood to start the car, however as soon as the temporary starter solenoid wire is touched to the hot battery post, the car immediately starts right up, and can be driven. The tires are 75% tread or better, and the car has a 1 yr.old battery. This car would make someone an excellent "work" or "winter" car. It is very reliable and only needs the ignition switch issue resolved to provide someone with very economical and reliable daily transportation. I drove this car for 5 weeks recently, 30 miles each way, daily, and it never caused me a moments trouble, other than the inconvenience of having to open the hood to start the car. This is a "no reserve auction", and the opening bid reflects the cars age, and issues as detailed here. The car is no longer needed, and would make someone a cheap reliable car. Please read the listing thoroughly, and feel free to message me thru ebay with any questions, and i will do my best to answer your questions promptly. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
