2001 XR650R Supermoto 700cc FULL Ohlins Im selling my 2001 XR650R Supermoto. I bought it with all the work done so forgive me if I don’t have 100% of the info on the specs… THE GOOD: -Currently CA plated and registration paid through 2013 -Full Ohlins Forks (not just internals) -Ohlins shock -Brembo caliper -320mm BRAKING rotor -Excel supermoto rims with talon hubs -Vortex Sprockets -700cc Big Bore -Stage 2 Hot Cams cam -ASV foldable levers -EMIG Racing triple clamps -Full FMF “Titanium” exhaust (I think it’s a stainless steel head pipe and titanium can) -Almost new Michelin Pilot Power 120front 150rear tires -Stainless Braided front brake lines -Vector Dash with coolant temp sensor -Answers fat tapered bars -Fold down passenger pegs and brackets -IMS foot pegs -Tusk gas cap -Aluminum skid plate (not installed but comes with it) -Baja Designs headlight -K&N Filter and drilled airbox. THE BAD: -The lights and turn signals need to be wired up but are all there. -I honestly can’t kick start the thing, I can kick it over… I can bump start it first bump… but I must not be man enough to kick start it. I heard that they are really critical with jetting to start easy and I didn’t mess with jetting at all. -Stock carb. I hear an FCR is almost a must have. -The guy before me spray painted the rear fender because he thought it would look cooler black… sorry -I let one of my friends ride it and he dropped it and it cracked the corner of the vector slightly and put a scratch here and there but nothing major. The reason I’m selling is because I wanted a bike to ride to and from work that would have power close to a sportbike but supermoto riding position and handling. After the first couple times trying to start it I realized I seriously wanted electric start for a daily commuter. I imagine myself wearing dress clothes with a laptop bag trying to kick it over in my work parking lot in 100 degree and realize ill settle for a lamer bike with e-start. Bike is also listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
