Vehicle Detail
1998 Ford F250, dedicated natural gas. This truck is amazing. For $17 you can fill up the tank and drive between 250 and 300 miles (in our area natural gas is $1.50). Natural gas filling stations are becoming more abundant. It would surprise you the places you could drive. We picked this truck up in San Bernardino, CA and drove all the way to Salt Lake City, Utah without a problem. This truck came from the city of Rancho Mirage in California. Being that it was city owned, it has had fleet maintenance, so oil and filters and all would have been changed on schedule. The miles are original. The dedicated Ford trucks are much better than the bi-fuel because you don't have the compu-valve that is a weak link and goes out on the bi-fuels. In addition, the motors on the dedicated Fords were specifically built from the factory to run on CNG. This means they have higher compression ratios and hardened valve seats. As you may know, natural gas burns much cleaner than normal gas and you get 3 times the mileage out of the motor than a conventional gas motor. So, depending on how you treat this truck, you can depend on getting 300,000-500,000 miles out of this truck. There are many in my area that are nearing the 200,000-250,000 mark without any problems. In addition, this truck is an F250, not F150, so it is a great work truck. This truck would be great for towing and working hard. With the low miles this truck could last forever. I have personally owned 100s of vehicles, being in the car business. We bought two of these trucks and I like them so much that I'm going to keep one for my daily driver. If you're bidding in Utah, these trucks have never been registered and are fully eligible for the Utah state alternaltive fuels tax credit. This means you can get $2800 back on your state taxes. If you're not bidding in Utah, check in your state for alternative fuel credits that may be available. The truck has a fully functioning light bar on the top that I've chosen to keep on the truck. If the new owner does not like the light bar, I will take it off for free. However, these light bars sell on ebay for in between $400-500, so the new owner could sell them. This truck is ready to go, it needs nothing, so fly in and drive it home, be assured that it is road worthy. Ask any questions you'd like to. Our business hours are Monday-Saturday, closed Sunday.
