Vehicle Detail
Former Hill Climb car. I purchased this in Pennsylvania where it has some history as a hill climb car, with the intent to convert it to track use (VSCCA etc). I ended up putting it back on the street for so I could enjoy driving it. Clean VA title. This car is setup for light competition, but had been sitting for some time. This has the long bonnet power bulge in the hood. The interior is mostly gutted, i.e no windows, heater core carpets softtop etc. No bumpers or overriders also. It has 5 pt harnesses (out of date) and a roll bar with Stock seats. I have a new Kirkey competition seat to install. Car is street legal and I run it on an Antique plate in VA. Care comes with newer Minilite-esq wheels, a brand new clutch, pp, throwout bearing, slave and mater cylinder. Braided brake lines all round, and I think uprated springs, although they are hard to identify. Engine has had fresh wires, points plugs and is has a nice tune. Carbs are fresh and balanced. Starts up without issue & it runs strong with 50PSI Oil pressure and stays at normal temp. 4 speed non overdrive in good order also. It has the usual oil drips from the engine and diff though not excessive. I have a spin on oil filter conversion (not installed yet). Car has a electrical kill switch. Some time in its life the original metal dash has been replaced with a wooden one which is a shame. On the whole the car shows well. The paint is fresh & ok condition, with a few blemishes, the worst being a damaged front valance and a dent in the rear valance. Underneath the drivers side floor has been repaired but not that well and really could do with a new floor at some point - its functional but not pretty. There is some signs of age and rust but the chassis appears completely solid. One small hole is appearing in the driver's side rocker panel that will need eventual attention. Car sits in Race livery and is reminiscent of a vintage EP car, although I find no evidence of it actually being used on the track. This car is a decent fun driver but is far from concours. For someone who wants a good weekend driver or a track project its perfect. I really like this car and Im only selling it because I have a another project I want to start (lotus élan coupe)
