Up for auction is my 1972 chevelle.On Oct-12-12 at 06:13:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I will provide a detailed description soon, way too much to list at the moment.On Oct-12-12 at 12:45:47 PDT, seller added the following information: My father purchased this car from the original owner in 1982 and used it as his daily driver until he gave it to me in 1992. Up to that point it was an original untouched malibu 307 bench seat column shift non a/c car, 75 cranberry red with black interior.I planned on making it an ss454 clone by collecting everything I needed and then planned to do it all at once, so over the past few years ive gotten every part neccessary to do so, and last year drove the car to my shop for the teardown and resto, since then, life has gotten in the way, preventing me from putting it back together.The general condition of the car is good for its age, there are a few little rust spots in the usual chevelle spots, nothing major though.I will go down the list of good, bad, and ugly.. SUSPENSION: mostly original and stock, recent ball joints(upper and lower), centerlink, pitman and idler arm assemblies, steering box, upper and lower control arm bushings, boxed rear control arms, wheel bearings, brakes, and 12bolt posi with 3.73 gear.In addition, I have spare brake shoes front & rear, wheel bearings, and rubber lines. BODY: some small dings here and there that I planned on leaving to the body man after I hung the new sheet metal, good floors, as it has been a southern car its whole life, trunk needs to be redone (in my opinion) good glass, all original functional wiring harnessI have lots of original trim and spare trim, several sets of pristine lenses, and many spare body parts like door internals, levers, seatbelts, etc.Goodmark cowl induction hood, fenders, full trunk floor, front and rear bumpers, dash board, and a complete set of ss454 emblems, which have never been installed . On Oct-12-12 at 13:07:05 PDT, seller added the following information: INTERIOR: The only original part of the interior is the dash, I dont consider it in great shape, as a modern square stereo hole has been cut, as well as a few switches that were installed for accessories. I was going to replace it with one of the ss dash kits they sell here on ebay anyway. The carpet has been replaced, the door pannels are new and have not uet been permanetly installed, I have the hardware for that as well. the seats are in great shape and I have the spacers to make the buckets fit properly in a original bench car, SS teering wheel is in excellent shape, I removed the headliner with the intentions of having it redone, but the dome light,lense, and headliner bows are still there. I have new door handles, window cranks and door felt strips. DRIVELINE: The engine is a professional reman +.030 454 with large oval port heads that I put only a few miles on, before tearing it down to install Edelbrock Performer RPM cam, manifold, carburetor, and water pump, I have all the parts to put it back together includind hoses and one almost new radiator and one brand new radiator. new mini starter, large tube ceramicoated hooker headers and full mandrell bent 3" flowmaster 40 series exhaust system. The transmission is a summit th350 with shift kit, deep pan, and 2000stall, the drive shaft is custom made and balanced (I have the original as well) and the diff is a 1968 12bolt with an auburn 3.73 posi.
