I bought this truck less than three weeks ago right here on ebay, but just found out I am being transferred overseas for my job and the truck can't come. Since purchasing it for $2,700 I had my mechanic do a complete check up on the truck and install a new starter. Then I paid $300 to have it registered, and another $180 for an all-weather, waterproof fitted truck cover. I will include the cover with the purchase of the truck. It runs and drives great. Looks like a beauty, but it's big V8 grumbles like a beast. I am not looking to make any money on this deal, just looking to get a fair price. Even if I get what I paid for it I'm still out almost $600 for the registration, new starter and truck cover. So my loss is your gain. This truck runs, drives and rides as good as it looks. I am the 3rd owner. I ran the vin and other #s. It was built in San Jose Ca sold In to a lady that also registered it in Oregon in the 70's. she then re-registered it in Ca in the 80"s when my friend Pete purchased it form her. He had the engine rebuilt 7 years ago (He lives local and can verify if needed). My Dad and I purchased the truck 6 years ago for a father son project. We had the seat redone, changed the steering wheel and installed new tires. Then My father passed away. The Truck sat for 4 years, now the wife said it has to go I wish to sell the truck to a person who will restore it as my father wished. Before I tried to start it I pulled the gas tank,changed the fuel filter and rebuilt the carb. I also pulled the plugs oiled the cylinders and cranked till I had oil pressure. I installed new plugs and fired it up with new gas., This truck runs outstanding. It is truly unbelievable.
