For Sale: 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo I have owned the car for awhile and Ive spent alot of money restoring it. This model of Pontiac Trans Am originally came with a Pontiac Turbo V8 301 Cubic Inch. It was switched to a 1970's Chevrolet Big Block 454. This Trans Am has a 70's Big Block 454 mounted in (different motor mounts installed). I took that same motor and had it dipped, boiled and rebuilt to bored 60 over making it a 468 Cubic Inch. The heads were boiled, re-valved and are the 70's Chevelle 454 heads. Motor has Mild Lunati VooDoo Cam and hydraulic lifters. The block was rebuilt with a Eagle Rotating Assembly kit. The motor has two- 4 barrel Holley carburetors each are 500-600 cfm. Those Carbs are setting on a dual carb Weiand Hi-Ram Tunnel Ram intake manifold. Motor also has a hi-flo performance mechanical fuel pump not a electric pump. The Oil pan has a hi-flo performance oil pump as well. Motor also has a 7 quart Moroso oil pan with a windage tray screen. Motor holds 8 quarts all together counting oil filter. I replaced the stock turbo 350 transmission with a TCI- Super Streetfighter Automatic Turbo 350 Transmission. That is non-lockup and 6"tailshaft TCI part # 890-311005 This TCI Transmission has a TCI StreetFighter 3000 stall Torque Convertor Part # 890-241000 installed in tranny. This transmission works great with this great running motor. The Trans Am doesn't have the stock snowflake wheels, I replaced them with American Racing Torq Thrust 2 wheels all four wheels are 17X9 's. They are made out of Aluminum and have a chrome finish. The tires are all in like new condition with no leaks or flat tire repairs. The brand of tires are Nexen N3000 and all four sizes are 245/45/17R. This Trans Am comes with a factory Posi-Trac RearEnd with 3.08 rear axle gearing. This Pontiac has the T-Tops by Fisher. Trans Am had a recent alignment with newer brake pads, front rotors, front bearings, front ball joints, and other components installed within last 500 miles. The Paint job still has some shine but car needs a paintjob done adventually to make it perfect. Pontiac has tilt wheel, power locks, power windows, nice aftermarket pioneer cd player and push button access in the glove box that opens the trunk lid of car. The windows both roll up and down perfect. The locks will push down and pull up --- function as intended but need work to make them perfect with the electric switch. Almost all the interior is there. The seats have all been custom redone with Black Vinyl at a Local Upholstery Shop. The Vinyl looks and feels like leather. The Car does have the heater and ac option in the dash. The previous owner removed the heater and ac parts from firewall and engine compartment. I hope I covered everything and as far as engine specs like duration, compression, and etc. I had lost the receipt of motor specs the shop gave me for the rebuild of the motor but I do have the receipt showing the total cost of motor rebuild. I also have all receipts for all the work I've done to this awesome car. If I was buying this car I would trailer it but I won't hesitate to tell you its road worthy enough to make it where ever you want.
