Vehicle Detail

This is a NO RESERVE auction! For sale is a 1970 Chevrolet 4x4 3/4 Ton Pickup Truck in Hugger Orange & White. Please read carefully and look at all the pictures. If you have any questions, please contact Roger @ 651-329-6779 This is a 1970 with a 1972 grille and bumper. Front clip, doors and pickup box, grille and bumper have been replaced from a donor vehicle by the previous owner. Odometer shows milage as 4415 miles. I have no idea on the accuracy. Has 4 near new Mastercraft Courser MT 33x12.50R16.5LT M+S Load Range D, still has mold flashings on it. Front axle is a Dana 44 open knuckle with Warn "Lock-O-Matic" lockouts that work smoothly. U-Joints look solid. Rear axle is the Eaton HO52 rear axle, open differential, probably 4.10 gears in it but don't know. Has a Rancho 4 inch lift kit and Rancho shocks; rears is a combonation of blocks and spring lift; front is 4" spring lift. Dual exhaust in nice shape and gives a nice rumble to it; not noisy. Tail pipes are clean (no black soot coating). No puffs of smoke. This fall I put in a new thermostat and a new master cylinder on, bled all 4 wheels, now has a good firm brake pedal and she'll stop now. In the last year it has new battery, spark plugs, fuel filter. Engine is a rebuilt 350 V8 with Royal Purple Synthetic 10W-40; Oil pressure is excellent. Edlebrock intake and Edlebrock 1405 carburator with manual choke. Accel HEI SuperCoil Distributor with Acel wires. Has always been a good starting and running engine even after parked and sitting. Transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 350. No leaks, shifts/drives normal; I have never had to add fluid since owning it for 3 years and it mostly sat; no dead grass stains from any drips where it was parked. Has the NP205 transfer case. Not sure if the previous owner had rebuilt it or not. 4WD works, 4Lo/2Hi/4Hi; no growls or noises. Previous owner stated that the engine and transmission was rebuilt 13K miles ago and went through all the brakes, changed differential oil, replaced any bad U-joints etc. Power steering sector leaks at the neck. You'll want to replace or fix it if you want to use it as a daily driver. Has a van Tilt Column in it. I have a replacement dash pad that will go with the truck. It is an original that has been dyed to match the interior but I didn't get around to installing. The radio is just show I think. Previous owner installed it but did not hook it up I think. No sound from it. Has some off road type seat belts installed on the passenger side. Drivers side is present but not fastend down. Drivers window crank needs work for the window to go up & down. Something is just a little bit out of alignment in the mechanism. Cab condition is usual stuff after 40 years. Previous owner fixed/patched the cab corner areas and parts of the floor, installed rocker panels. There is some rust thru by the visors by the windshield. Box floor is metal with bed mat, not wood as it originally came with. The rest of the sheet metal is pretty decent considering the age. I bought this in 2009. It was originally an Iowa family farm truck and the son built it up to what it is today. I was going to repaint it and clean it up a bit and use it for a weekend/secondary truck to run around in. One month after I bought it I got a classic back injury (no kidding). Game over. I'm selling it because of that and have no time for this now so it didn't get driven hardly at all. I have driven it probably about 50 miles total in the last 3 years. I would start and move the truck around the farm about 3 times a year so it doesn't just sit there. Fired up quickly each time. I just road tested it this month and put on about 10 miles. Goes down the road fine and strong. Runs great. Yes I believe you could drive it home. Someone else has already done the hard work going through the engine/transmission/running gear now it just needs a new driver for it. Has clean title. I am the legal owner of the truck. Somewhere between Iowa and Minnesota DMV's, the title has a code that states that it is a 3 ton truck. Okay, fine. I can't stand dealing with the state on anything, so I license the truck for a 10,000GVW rating to get the lowest price. The registration base tax for that is $90.00 instead of the normal price of about $45.00 for a 3/4 ton pickup of this year. I didn't renew the tabs for this year since I was planning on selling it. Truck is located near New Germany, MN 55367 Being sold as-is where-is and has no warranty. If the truck is to be shipped I can hold it for 30 days while arrangements are made. Thanks for looking.
