charvetmagic Store 1957 Rolls Silver Cloud. LHD. Sale benefits CCCA Museum. LOW RESERVE. 1957 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER CLOUDSALE PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE CLASSIC CAR CLUB OF AMERICA MUSEUMThis 1957 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud Standard Steel Saloon was built for export and includes copies of the original build sheet from the Rolls factory. It indicates that the car was originally grey with a red interior. Sometime in the past the car was repainted gold and black, and fitted with a green leather interior. It is a beautiful and elegant combination The interior now shows age but could be cleaned and reconditioned as needed. Chrome, brightwork and wood trim are very good. Overall, the exterior paint is good, with only a few small areas of bubbling. It is a very presentable driver quality Rolls Royce that can be restored for show, if desired. Please see photos. Current mileage showing is 47,641, which is believed to be correct. The car was donated to the CCCA Museum and has not been regularly used in three years while stored inside. It was recently started and found to have some water in the crankcase oil. It is not known whether this is the result of a failed gasket or other issue. Prior to donation to the Museum, the car was regularly driven by the owner in California. We do not advise now driving the car until being diagnosed and serviced by a competent Rolls Royce mechanic. Your inspection is invited before the close of the auction. This Rolls was donated to the Classic Car Club of America Museum. While not a Full Classic® car, it is being offered for sale here with proceeds to benefit the museum (a 501c3 non-profit organization) and their ongoing projects to preserve the history of automobiles of the Classic Car era (1925-1948.) Please see the last photo for museum website and contact information. A portion of your bid, in excess of the market value of the car, may be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor. All contributions to the Museum are welcome and appreciated.Offered at a LOW RESERVE.WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS, WORLDWIDE.***I am listing this car at the request of the museum.
