Vehicle Detail
1968 Mustang Coupe 289 c.i. engine · Automatic with factory power steering This car starts right up and can be used as a daily driver but I use it to go to the movies or take my wife on the date, etc.– strictly a joy rider ·The car is all HERE, everything you need for complete restoration to original condition if that's what you wish to do Original engine and drivetrain · L.A. California car garage kept - shipped east · 100% rust free frame and underbody extremely rare for Pennsylvania Rust belt · Needs very minor bodywork/paint= various scratches and chips from normal use · Starts right up and runs great-no issues- drive it home! · I replaced the leaf springs a couple of years ago and had the entire front end rebuilt - very tight · NEW FORD power steering actuator, rebuilt power steering pump with new hoses · New carpeting, seats' upholstery this car is mechanically maintained and runs great but, if you're looking for project car to rebuild to showroom new, this is the one for you because it is all here. I was told when I bought the car that the engine was rebuilt and had about 14,000 miles on it. I can just tell you that it runs great and starts right up. Since then, I put less than 10K miles on it– less than 1000 miles a year. The car was originally owned by a UCLA professor. I am the 3rd owner…I had it shipped east on a car carrier @nine years ago. The car only saw beautiful, sunny days and is garage kept. Everything works.- no electrical issues- I replaced the carpeting and the seats' upholstery– new vinyl seats. everything else is original. There are very small aftermarket modifications to the engine but all original parts are included in the sale to return the engine to original showroom specs. They include: · the removal of the points to electronic points and the valve covers from original to chrome. · The rims are aftermarket…but again, originals are here with hubcaps if you want to reinstate to showroom specs. This car only needs very minor body work that comes from age and use. Youngest child went off to college, so I am moving and can’t take the car with me to the 55 & over community- wife won't give up her garage space for my baby. Serious inquiries only–email any questions or ask for any picture to be taken.
