Up for auction is a 2001 Porsche 996 that we just finished repairing. This vehicle was previously damaged in the right rear quarter panel area and some light damage in the front. We believe it was rear ended and pushed into a car in front of it. We included pictures from the auction also to show the previous damage. The rear picture might look more severe than it was because of the way the bumper cover was crushed. But if you look at the picture, you can see the rear bumperettes which are attatched to the rear bumper reinforcement are not pushed in. We removed and reinstalled the engine and transmission so the repair could be done professionally. The right rear frame rail was straightened to factory specs and the tail light pocket area was replaced. Also replaced include the trunk lid, rear bumper, front bumper cover and hood. We professionally painted the entire car from the roof mouldings down to ensure proper paint match and to avoid future fading that is typical in panel painting. All handles, mirrors, etc. were removed before paint to ensure a proper paint job. The car turned out great. This carrera has the upgraded leather package which includes a suede headliner. We included pictures of the interior and exterior but if you need any more detailed pictures, please let us know so we can answer any of your questions. Registration: We are holding a California Salvage certificate in hand so if the vehicle is sold outside of California the customer would receive that and a bill of sale. If the vehicle is sold within California, we are required to turn the title in and issue a bill of sale with an aquisition number for registration in California. If the car is to be registered in California the aquisition number process takes 7 days to process. Also if the vehicle is sold to a California buyer or if you fly in to California to drive the vehicle out of state, we are required to collect sales tax (7.75). When you return to your state and register the vehicle, you would have to submit a request for refund of the taxes paid showing that you were from out of state.
