1987 BMW 325is 5 speed manual trans 155,309 miles I purchased this car 2.5 years ago with intentions of making it a track day car. The best of intentions but as we head toward another winter, I realize that the "time/budget equation" will keep me prepping the car again for another year, likely longer. I am sure I will regret it but I am going to sell it. In the 2.5 years I have owned the car, it has only been street driven as an occasional daily driver. I have added 15,000 miles to the car in those years of ownership. It is an effective daily driver. Air conditioning is present but not cold. I have not researched as I intended to remove the AC but all AC parts are still on the car. Rust: It is not to say that the car has no rust but also to say it does not have real cancer. Located in Ohio; by northern standards, the car is in very good shape. Sanding, painting, filling would result in a car that looks fantastic. The current paint is shinny. All the suspension and subframe points are in very good shape, not rusted out or pulled through. The suspension has not been updated for track duty and new bushings would be recommended before track activity. With the intention of track duty, shortly after purchasing, I had a Z3 short shift kit installed with all new shifter bushings. At that time, it was confirmed that the previous owner had replaced the clutch as stated. Redline Brand trans fluid was added at this time. This trans removal also required the removal of the old muffler assembly from the cat back. This was replaced with a new muffler assembly and all new hangers. Underhood there is a sticker that claims timing belt was replaced at 52k miles and 127k miles. I have no further proof of this but feel confident from the verification of clutch replacement by previous owner that he was truthful about t-belt as well. Some of the pictures show aftermarket 15" Konig rims. THESE KONIG RIMS WILL NOT BE INCLUDED WITH THIS AUCTION. The winner of the auction will have first right of refusal to purchase these wheel/tires for $500. If winning bidder does not want the rims, I will repost them to a separate ebay auction. Included with the auction will be the 14" factory basket weaves. All the 14" tires have good tread but none is really a good tire. 4 tires, 4 separate brands. All are 195-65-14. All are straight & true and drive & ride properly. The 15x7" Konig rims have Bridgestone Potenza S-03 tires. 205-50-15 fronts. 225-50-15 rears. Ample tread remains. I assure you so much that if you would like to pay me $1 per mile, I will deliver the car to you (ie: if you live 500 miles from me, I will bring you the car for $500.) Delivery fee must be pre-paid. I will happily pick up a buyer at the Cleveland, Ohio airport if you wish to fly in and drive home. The car can be pre-purchase inspected and or test driven at my home in Sandusky, Ohio.
