Vehicle Detail
1992 Chrysler LeBaron LX Convertible - Very Low Miles This car is being relisted because the winning bidder came to pick up the car and although he loved it, being disabled, he was unable to enter and exit the car comfortably. This vehicle was driven by a very old person (the original owner) until Grandaughter was given the car on 9/8/11 with only 27,000 miles on it, as meticulously documented by CarFax. She was not overly excited with a 20 year old car, so she bought a new one. Let her loss be your gain. Runs and drives very nicely. 4 new matching tires. Strong motor and tranny - no leaks, noises or smoking. Somewhere between 9/8/11 and present time the odometer stopped working - speedometer, however, does work. If you study the CarFax it is quite evident that the mileage is very low. Also shows no accidents. AC is ice cold. Driver side rear power window does not go down. Top is in excellent condition and goes up and down nicely. As you can see, the grill header panel and hood have slight damage. Hood opens and closes no problem. Leather interior is in excellent condition. May need rear brakes, I can hear a metal on metal sound when applying the brakes from the rear. Brake pedal is not low and feels normal except for the scraping sound. If the winning bidder wants the brakes replaced so it will pass inspection and be driven home please add up to $300.00 (could be less, but not more depending on the severity of the brake work needed). An out of state winner has the option to drive the car home and not do the brake work. The brakes stop the car no problems at this point. Out of state buyers are not bound by NY State inspection laws. A New York State winner will need to have the brake work done so the vehicle will pass NY State inspection. As a NY State registered car dealer I cannot sell a car to a NY resident unless it passes NY State inspection. NY residents must also pay sales tax and a $21.00 NY State inspection fee to final bid price as well as the cost of the brake job. It is quite driveable if an out of state wants to drive it home. But no guarantees to any out of state buyer. Since the odometer is not currently working there is no warranty. No Reserve! No Buy It Now! Please Don't Ask! Any questions call 516-228-1016 and leave a message if I’m not in. Please don’t wait until the last day or last few hours to contact me. Please speak clearly. I will pick you up at the train or bus station. Winning bidder please leave a $300.00 deposit (of which $50.00 is non-refundable) in PayPal within 48 hours of the auction close. If I don't receive the deposit within the 48 hours I will relist the car. Please plan on picking this vehicle up within 15 days of the auction close unless you have made prior arrangements with me before bidding. If the vehicle is left after 15 days your deposit becomes non-refundable and I will relist the vehicle. All vehicles that run and drive are driven at least 10 to 20 miles and usually 30 to 40 miles. I try to describe these vehicles to the best of my 35 years of experience. Our familiarity with these autos is limited to the miles we drive them. Please be aware of this when bidding. As always, if the winning bidder is not happy after road test and examination, I will cancel the sale and refund $250.00 of your deposit. 60% of my Ebay sales go to “phantom bidders” or “no-show” bidder. Look for the vehicle to be relisted after 48 hours. “A bid on eBay is considered a contract, and you're obligated to purchase the item.” Final sale price is what you pay! (New York residents must pay sales tax and inspection fee when applicable.) There are no extra hidden fees!!! Good luck and thanks for looking!
