Extremely rare car that is totally complete minus engine ready for a complete restoration. This car was media blasted to bare metal a few years back but the owner was unable to complete the restoration. Most every part was carefully bagged and labeled. It came from the midwest before it arrived in Tucson AZ in the 80's so there are some rust issues that need to be addressed. It needs the rear frame rails installed(new ones come with car) Floor is very solid but has had previous repairs. Rockers, doors, and quarters have had previous repairs as seen in pics. Transmission is the original toploader 4speed for the car. Comes with bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, shifter, holley carb. Engine was misplaced after being takin to an engine shop years ago. (my friend has a period correct 390 block and heads for $1000.00) Convertible top is still in great shape. This was a nice running and driving car before the restoration process began. Dash has the correct 8k Tach. One of 493 built with 390/4spd. Only 1986 GT convertibles were made in 1968. Original color was Gulfstream Aqua(one of only 1545 this color) Aqua interior (one of 891 mustangs with same paint trim codes) 3.25 limited slip rear end. Per the MARTI REPORT. 1968 Ford Mustang GT S code 390 4 speed convertible. Extremely rare car that is totally complete minus engine ready for a complete restoration. This car was media blasted to bare metal a few years back but the owner was unable to complete the restoration. Most every part was carefully bagged and labeled. It came from the midwest before it arrived in Tucson AZ in the 80's so there are some rust issues that need to be addressed. It needs the rear frame rails installed(new ones come with car) Floor is very solid but has had previous repairs. Rockers, doors, and quarters have had previous repairs as seen in pics. Transmission is the original toploader 4speed for the car. Comes with bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, shifter, holley carb. Engine was misplaced after being takin to an engine shop years ago. (my friend has a period correct 390 block and heads for $1000.00) Convertible top is still in great shape. This was a nice running and driving car before the restoration process began. Dash has the correct 8k Tach. One of 493 built with 390/4spd. Only 1986 GT convertibles were made in 1968. Original color was Gulfstream Aqua(one of only 1545 this color) Aqua interior (one of 891 mustangs with same paint trim codes) 3.25 limited slip rear end. Per the MARTI REPORT.
