Vehicle Detail
1966 Mustang GT Coupe This is a great car. I bought it locally and have owned it for about eight years. It has not been a daily driver. I have driven it not very much. The last owner built the 289 from the block up. Still had the break in oil when I purchased it. The transmission was rebuilt. The car has forged pistons and MSD ignition. Four barrel holley carb. The car has been sprayed underneath to keep it form rusting. It has new headers and Exhaust, brand new pipes all the way to the tips. Brand new drum brakes, drums and wheel cylinders. The tires are in great shape. I put on the newer Outlaw rims. It has new pan gaskets and a new Wiring harness installed from the firewall to the headlights, parking lights and horn. It has a new alternator wiring harness installed. Brand new windshield. Inside the car it has a pioneer cd head unit and a jensen cd changer. It has had the front bucket seats recovered. New headliner and new carpet. I installed four new speakers in the rear and new kick panels with speakers. The car also has its original seat belts. The floor pans are in great shape only a small amount of surface rust on the drivers side when I had the carpet out. I believe the paint is the original because that was the color under the carpet. Also has a new headlight switch and a new speedometer cable even though the gauge might be bad or a kink in the cable because the speedometer only works sometimes. The outside of the car is in good shape. The car is straight and inside the trunk there is no signs of body damage. There is a dent on the passenger side below the bumper a replacement can be bought for very little. There is some rusting through on the driver side rear wheel wells and rusting on the bottom of the passenger side door. There is also a small dent and scrapes along the rear driver side quarter panel. There is surface rust and paint chipping. This is another reason I think the car color is original. The car also needs a new accelerator pump on the carb. You have to put a small amount of gas into the carb before it will start and then there no problem with it staying started. The gas slowly drains out of the carb if not driven. I was told a accelerator pump was about $20. The good thing is that all the body work is fixable and a new paint job this would be a great looking car. You can buy anything you need for this car online. I hope who ever gets the car will love it as much as I have. On Oct-05-12 at 15:32:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Low Reserve!
