Vehicle Detail

This Rare 1971 Honda Dax US Export model. Has been sitting in a barn for 25 years. It was last registered in Oklahoma in 1974 and I have that title and registration papers in hand. This is the model with the Hard to Find and very rare Removable Crank-Off front end original to the bike! It still has the quick disconnects and covers and was probably never removed, part of the white stripe sticker is still present on front fender. IT DOES NOT HAVE A CURRENT TITLE! I HAVE ONLY A TITLE FROM 1974 THE PERSON I BOUGHT IT FROM ONLY USED IT ON HIS 30 ACRE PROPERTY. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE DMV DOES NOT HOLD RECORDS FOR THAT LONG AND SHOULD BE OUT OF THE SYSTEM YOU CAN CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL DMV TO BE SURE! The SER. Number is 530013 It is missing the headlight and bezel, all 4 turn signals (but the ears and bolts are still on the forks ears, and the lens housings are on the rear plate bracket still), The rubber boot that goes from air cleaner to carb. The following parts are damaged or need repair...The headlight bucket is chipped up around headlight rim, the speedometer glass is broken and the needle missing whole headlight speedometer assy needs replacing. Tail light lens is missing. The kill switch has fallen into the handlebar needs plastic fastener to mount it. Right handlebar turn switch is missing the outer snap-in slider.Left side light switch is missing. The right side aluminum points/Drive chain cover has a hole in it needs to be replaced. Has a small dent on left frame side by knee area. Seat cover is original is separating at rear seam has a few small holes. These are obtainable parts that for the most part can be bought fairly cheap and would be replaced anyway if you were going to restore it. The chrome fenders seem to be undented in good shape. The motor runs great and usually starts first or second kick. Keep in mind this is a 41 year old bike and has been sitting in a barn for 25 years untouched so it should be gone through by a mechanic. I took it for a 3 mile ride (did not want to drive too much because needs air filter boot) it ran perfect and did not show any smoke at any time. Also the exhaust baffle or inner spark arrester is missing. The bike even has original key and I have the original owners manual and the 1974 Oklahoma paperwork that came with it. This was purchased from a USAF Pilot titled in 1974 at Altus AFB OK. Brought to Solano Co CA Home of Travis AFB. Sold to the person I purchased from who never registered it and owned it for over 30+ Years. The bike is as seen in photos. I have described the bike as accurately as I can. Please ask any questions before bidding as this is a No Return No Reserve Auction. Buyer must Pick up in Person or arrange for it to be picked up at my home. Happy Bidding! On Sep-30-12 at 10:58:53 PDT, seller added the following information: ct70
