Due to a non paying bidder I am relisting this bug. please DO NOT!!! bid unless you plan on buying. it is unfair to the real bidders that intend on paying. Up for auction is a beautiful 1964 vw bug. I am selling it here on ebay with no reserve. the opening bid is 5 dollars. I will sell to overseas buyers and canada. It is the buyers responsibility to arrange shipping. I can drop it off in portland oregon to ship if needed. Payment through paypal is the only payment I will accept unless you pick it up with cash in hand. 500 dollars down through paypal within 24 hours of auction. this bug is in great shape. It is a slammed custom ride that gets tons of attention. It is a clean rat rod. which by no means makes it a piece of junk. everything works and functions very well. I wouldn't make it a commuter car but it is a nice cruiser and is very reliable. call me if you want any other details, 503-999-0817 Norm. the Body ..... is in great shape. the pan has been gone through and has no holes or rust at all. it does not have cobbled in floor pans, they are all one piece. Paint is a satin green and in good condition. the body panels are all straight for the most part. they have a few dings and wowies here and there but the flat paint hides them well. The car is Rust Free. that is not to say that there is a few spots where it has surface rust of a few small rust spots. This car is from a region where it never gets salt on the road and the car is garaged in the rain. all windows open and close well. the wipers work perfect. the heater is not connected. I t could be hooked up if needed. I like fresh air better than the old heat exchanger mixed with exhaust. The brake lights work perfect as well as the turn signals. under the hood it has been undercoated to quiet the cabin and for easy cleaning. there are 2 speakers under the dash that go to the kenwood cd player with aux input. It does not have seat belts in front but it does come with a full set if you want to install them and there is a seat belt allready installed in the rear seat for a kids car seat. the roof rack is a nice old german rack not a cheapie knock off. the drive train..... clutch is in great shape and has tons of life in it. never slips or chatters. the transmission shifts perfect and no grinds. reverse is easy to find with a aftermarket shifter. the suspension is dropped with spindles and lowering adjusters on the beam. the rear was lowered by moving the plate in the rear to drop it down. it could be raised up if needed. the front spindles could be put back to stock and it will have 4 inches of ride height adjustability. all 4 shocks are brand new. the brakes are in great shape 80% or better. the pedal is high and no leaks. it stops great. the engine....... runs great. it has no choke but 2 pumps and she fires right up. this thing handles like a go-kart on steroids. Dual Kadron carbs feed the dual port 1600. Does it leak oil? yes a little but it is a bug after all. if a bug doesn't leak oil it is probibally out of oil. the engine does not smoke or burn oil. it is converted to 12 volt. It can cruise at 70 no problem if you put it to the wood. This car is not perfect I have a ton of high resolution pictures that you can see all the details of the inside and out I have a great track record on ebay and make every attempt to represent my items to the best of my abilities. please call me I would like to talk to potential buyers so they now all the details. thanks for looking and good luck. rember you bid you buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
