1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite A very hard to find all original, California car. This vehicle has spent all of it's life in California, aside from 3 years that it went to Oregon for a restoration. It was not a full frame-off restoration, but it was restored with all original parts. This Sprite is very solid mechanically with the engine and trans being rebuilt in 2005. It has the original 948cc block which is suppose to be a "matching numbers" engine; however, I cannot verify it because the engine tag came off. It also has the original 4-speed trans and drum brakes with a connected emergency line. The Sprite is still an A+ ground and runs with it's generator and not with an alternator. It could use some TLC cosmetically, but a 59 that is this sound mechanically is a rare find. There are many extras that will be sold with the car that were never installed; rack for soft top, side windows, alternate chrome bumpers, and miscellaneous parts. This Bugeye has been priced low to sell quickly. I have always kept a close eye on the market and locating one in better overall condition than this for a lesser price is almost impossible.
