A classic BMW from one of the few years where they made a 1000cc model with spoke wheels. Original Krauser hard cases, S type fairing, Original tool kit, Owner's manual, and Clymer repair manual. Clear Minnesota title. The mileage listed is NOT the actual mileage, I replaced the instrument cluster and 97899 is the mileage on it. My guess from looking at the internal condition, and checking the cylinders and clutch against the specs is that this bike actually has low to moderate mileage on it. I bought this bike as a garage find 4 years ago and went through it from top to bottom to put it into excellent mechanical condition. I would guess I have about 100 hours into it and many $$ in parts. The work has been documented and receipts kept in the included 3 ring binder. Work done includes; Gas tank cleaned and lined with KBS tank sealer system. Tank repainted with acrylic enamel. New fuel lines and filters Rear main seal replaced K&N air filter installed Battery replaced Continental Conti Go! tires and new tubes installed New points Added an S type fairing by BoxerCafe (these are super nice and made with epoxy resin) Repainted fenders, swing arm, and touched up frame with acrylic enamel (I have a spray booth) Cylinders honed (both within spec.) and base and cylinder head gaskets replaced New silicone valve cover and sump gaskets installed Most fasteners replaced with stainless ones Clutch inspected (well within spec.) and splines greased Carbs cleaned and new throttle grip and cables installed Rear drive splines lubed (in great condition) Turn signal lenses polished. NOS headlight reflector installed New brake pads All fluids replaced New push rod tube boots Many other small items sorted out as well. All in all a solid, reliable bike. $500 due at the close of the auction and the balance on pickup or cleared payment prior to shipping. I can help with loading onto your truck or trailer at this end. I can also deliver the bike to the local motor freight terminal, but if you plan to ship it you'll have to make your own arrangements.
