Ive had this GTO for 12 years, my plans were to restore it but ist not going to happen. When I bought the car the guy had the topend removed for upgrades that never happened, So I put a running 69 400 in it to move it around while I rebuilt the original. I have the original number matching 400 YF shortblock and heads (not rebuilt). The car runs and drives but has sat for 12 years. I did start it and drive up and down my road at least once a year. So it would need a carb rebuild and fresh gas to drive very far. I would haul it with a trailer until the bugs get worked out. Brakes work. I put stainless magnaflow dual exhaust on it, I had the seats professionally upholstered with stock fabric and style cost $1750. Tires have lots of thread. The 3-speed shifts great and clutch is good. I had the PHS docs that say VERY low option car and genuine GTO. It has manual steering, manual brakes. They only made 926 manual shift 400 gtos in 73. The car is from AZ so the paint was baked on the top and surface rust, I dont see any rust holes except by the rear and front windows(small pinholes) I have a replacement rear window section. There is a scrape on the pass side from the door onto the rear quarter. I have a bunch of extra parts included. Also a new carpet kit. I have a nice dash that would need painting red. Also a pair of NOS outside window felts. Floors are solid, Trunk looks like it was surface rusted and the last guy sprayed undercoat? on it. This is a great car to restore, rare now days. Ive got around 6.5k into it. Buyer lines up shipping and pays for shipping.
