Vehicle Detail
This 1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda is for sale. This video http://youtu.be/utn7PB4KTLA documents the car's restoration in 1993. We bought this car in 1989. We drove it and had our fun, then sent it away for restoration. Have showed it and had fun with it over the years but family matters necessitate selling it and moving on. If you are a fan of the Trans Am era of cars, you'll love this AAR! Numbers matching engine, etc. original Broadcast Sheet and Fender Tags. Mileage is uncertain due to restoration. The car is located in Westville, NJ. Buyer is responsible for pickup. Recommend bringing it home via flatbed, not driving it. Serious inquiries only, no test drives, tire kickers etc. If you are a fan of Mopar Muscle, this car is for you!On Sep-26-12 at 15:40:26 PDT, seller added the following information:THE RESERVE HAS BEEN MET, BID NOW! Couple of more tidbits about the car: It came with the rare option of chrome wheel lip moldings - they are not on the car right now but we'll give them to you. We have the collapsible spare tire in the trunk along with the canister. One of our favorite options the car has: fast ratio power steering! You could do donuts with your pinky finger! THE RESERVE HAS BEEN MET, BID NOW!!!On Sep-27-12 at 13:58:16 PDT, seller added the following information:It's not too difficult to find someone to restore your car these days. A simple Google search will give you lots of choices. We didn't have Google in the early 90's though. So when we were ready to have the 'Cuda restored we had to research the hard way - phone calls and recommendations. We came across a guy in Palmyra NJ. Foster's Automotive. It was run by a guy named Jim Foster. It was a small shop. Not much to look at, nothing glamorous or flashy. Until you saw the cars, that is. There were cars from the 30's 40's 50's on up and boy were they beautiful. They were in various stages of completion but a couple of them looked done to me - they were gorgeous! It was a small shop, but there was a lot of activity. Most of it seemed to be orchestrated by a guy named 'Guy' and a younger fella named Dave. A salesman he wasn't. In fact, he didn't seem all that excited about the prospect of restoring our car. I could see why - the shop was busy. There aren't many better than Guy, I was told, because there's only one way Guy does things; the right way. It took a while, but the car came out beautiful. My brother and I really hate to see her go.On Sep-29-12 at 18:37:02 PDT, seller added the following information:Be sure to look at the new pictures! We just took them today and should show a good representation from many different angles. She's in really good shape - looks as good close up as she does from 20 feet. There are a couple of things the new owner might want to improve though: The headliner has some dry-rot behind the passenger's side sunvisor. It's not terribly noticeable but you may want to get it taken care of. There's a little 3/4" tear on the backseat vinyl - simple to fix though. The chrome exhaust tips could use polished or re-chromed, but again, not that noticeable. The driver's side window sweep could use to be replaced. The speedo needle and speedo cable are broken so your speed is your best guess right now! There's no rust or anything - the body is SPOTLESS. *** BID NOW - RESERVE IS OFF ***
