Vehicle Detail

Great car & fun to drive "Ultimate Driving Machine"! 1994 BMW 325i. I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. While working in the sales dept. of a Lincoln-Mercury dealership (from 1994-2008), I actually took this BMW on trade from a pregnant mother who wanted a Lincoln Navigator back in 2003. When I bought it, the odometer was 101,000. I have driven this car daily for the past 9 years, but now it's time for me to let it go :( I will describe the good & the not so good with this BMW. I know it's hard to make a large item purchase over the internet, but I will explain exactly what you are bidding on, and show you detailed photos. The original MSRP back in 1994 was around $33,000. The on-board computer will calculate distance to empty, outside temperature, MPG, and warn you of any electrical problems such as a light bulb out. My average MPG is 20 city & 30 hwy. on 89 octane. The A/C blows ice-cold! Here's a list of items: JVC KD-R810 CD player with detachable face, includes bluetooth, remote, USB & iPod ports, great sounding speakers (8), Alpine in the front, and 3-way Boston Acoustics in the back. Tinted windows, full-size spare tire, Michelin tires, complete BMW tool kit, dashcover, Euro-sounding sports horn, extra assorted light bulbs, bottle of black touch-up paint, dual-power leather heated seats, owners manual & leather case, 2 keys. Newly replaced parts: upgraded Bilstein shocks & struts (2007), valve cover gasket & spark plugs (2007), all new belts (2008), coolant hoses, water pump, radiator & coolant level sensor (2010), power steering hoses & reservoir (2010), transmission filter & gasket (2010), Sears battery (2011). Bonus items included: Bavarian Auto Code Reader & Reset Tool with manual, Haynes & Chilton Repair Books, 101 Performance Projects for your 3 Series BMW (it's a great 270 page instructional reference book with color photos). Items not so good: "CK Coolant" light comes on every time the vehicle is started. I have replaced the sensor 3 times, but when you check the coolant reservoir is full. ABS light comes on from time to time, I suspect it's a speed sensor in the rear, but the BMW service dept. could not find a problem. Moonroof opens fully, but will not vent. There are a few door dings. The black paint is starting to fade (the hood photos show white patches, but they are actually clouds in the reflection). There are a few drips of oil each week, has ever since I bought it, never got around to replacing the oil pan gasket. Carfax reports a minor accident to the left side. It happened with the first owner, 6 months after the car was purchased new...I don't notice any difference, if there was a problem I would not have bought this car in the first place! Also on the Carfax you will notice where I had the car serviced, it was convenient to use the dealership I worked at, plus I trusted our technicians....I don't work on cars myself, but purchasing these repair manuals gave me a better understanding & education on how things operate under the hood. This BMW has been good to me over the last 9 years, and has much more driving pleasure in the future! Thanks for looking & good luck bidding!
