Kelly Blue Book Value as of September 2012: $3,438 Vehicle History and Description This Fleetwood was purchased new by it's original owner at Gold Coast Cadillac in Neptune, NJ. It changed title only once more in 2005 when it was purchased by it's second and current owner and stayed registered in New Jersey all it's life. It is in excellent aesthetic and mechanical condition. It runs and drives like a Cadillac should! The body is extremely nice overall. All original paint shines like new. The clearcoat is in great shape with no peeling or fading. All stainless steel polished rocker panel trim is in excellent condition. High polished chrome steel front and rear bumpers. 15" factory cast-aluminum wheels. Full formal padded vinyl roof. Glass is very clear with no scratches, chips, or cracks. The seats are very nice with plenty of life left in the leather and padding. Carpeting is beautiful. Instrument panel, all controls, switches and reminder/warning indicators work flawlessly. All interior and exterior light bulbs work. Headliner is also in great shape. The engine runs very smooth with plenty of power when needed! The transmission doesn't miss a beat, shifting through all gears and functions with crisp and firm action. Brakes provide plenty of stopping power and work great all around. *** NO RUST! *** The floor pans, frame, inner fenders, rocker panels, wheel wells, rear quarter skirts, and undercarriage are SOLID. You do not need to worry about corrosion, rust, or rot! Period. Some notable options and features 5.7L V8 LT1 Tuned Port Injection (same heavy-duty motor used in Caprice police cars) Cast iron engine block AND iron heads for maximum durability. These engines run for well over 200,000 miles! The Corvette also used the LT1 engine, but those engines were given aluminum heads on a cast iron block resulting in premature warping and head gasket problems. There's even great news at the gas pump with this Fleetwood! First of all, contrary to popular belief, it takes REGULAR gasoline. In fact, it states it right in the owner's manual. 87 Octane is preferrred. This car gets 26 mpg on the highway and 17 mpg when driving in town for an average of 21.5 mpg! You simply can't get better gas mileage when considering this car was the longest production sedan in the country in 1994. It is the king of the car world, weighing in at a whopping 4,400 pounds! But it is surprisingly easy on the wallet. Minor mechanical malfunctions: This car can be driven as-is. The radiator has a small pinhole leak at the very top. It is recommended that the new owner replace the radiator, but it isn't absolutely necessary at this time. Please note that the engine still runs at the proper temperature and does not even begin to overheat under any circumstances. I just want you to be aware of this issue.The power trunk release works, and it closes completely and locks shut. The power pull-down motor is not working, so it just works like any other car without a power pull-down feature. You can repair it or leave it stay that way, but it is no big deal either way.Minor cosmetic issues: (These can be seen in the pictures posted below!) The left rear door area does have a couple of dents on it. It's power window also doesn't work correctly. The driver's door panel has some very light wear on the armrest. The seat back has a section of wear that is very similar to the type and size of wear on the armrest. It's just from me rubbing one portion of the seat with my back every time I get in and out of the car. The Cadillac "wreath" came off the trunk lid while I was washing the car one day. I saved it, and it can be glued back on with no problem. I just haven't gotten around to doing it.The top dash pad is cracked in random areas because of UV damage. There are now custom-fit, replacement dashpad covers for these cars. You can get one that matches the interior's color if the cracks bother you that much.There is a piece of trim missing on the exterior along the lower edge of the rear window.On the hood, there is a small chip in the paint from a stone grazing it on the highway.
