This is a no reserve auction, vehicle goes to the highest bidder. This 993 is an absolute steal. Used 964's are fetching this kind of money all day long! Thank you for considering this 1996 Porsche 993 Convertible. It is Glacier White over blue, with a blue fabric top. It is truly in turn key condition. This is a 2 owner car, enthusiast owned and well maintained. It will be sold with a clear Georgia title held by the seller. The car is currently located in Athens Ga, and is available for inspection at buyers expense (shops can be recommended if needed). The overall condition of the car is an 8 of 10 subjectively. There are NO door dings, NO dash cracks, and NO rips or tares in any portion of the interior. All of the electrics function properly, including the power convertible top. The fabric top is a rich marine blue with NO stains or tares. It was just recently treated with a silicone based sealant for better weatherability and beads water like sheet steel. The rear glass, which is common to "fogging" over time is very clear with very few signs of wear. There are 3 small flaws in the paintwork that are shown in the listing photos. They are easily correctable and can be included in the cost of a PPI if desired. Additional considerations regarding the overall cosmetic condition include a mildly pitted windshield, and wheels that have VERY mild curb rash. The mechanical condition of this car is also excellent. The brakes are +50% remaining. The tires are +50% remaining. The tiptronic transmission shifts fine and was just serviced with fresh ZF fluid and OEM filter. The oil was last changed with Liqui Moly 0w-40 at 76,000 miles and was found to be clean and contaminate free. The sale will include a extra ATF gasket and filter as well as a set of oil filters and O-rings. The hood and rear decklid shocks were also just replaced. Door edge guards are fitted to both doors to protect other cars in the garage. The sale includes a full tool kit, tonneau cover for convertible top and manual. The car does not have complete service records but the power convertible top motor has been replaced--which is a common failure and nice repair to have out of the way. The car has a small oil leak from the rear passenger's side timing chain cover. This 993 is fitted with 1st generation Fabspeed catalytic converter bypass pipes that provide a raucous sound when the accelerator is floored. This modification does however result in a reoccurring CEL and it will not pass emissions without having this re-installed. (not included) This car was purchased in January 2012 from a local independent mechanic who completed minor bodywork after the car was in an accident. The accident was not serious and resulted in new front and rear bumper covers and a small amount of panel work--all done to very high standards. At this time the lower valve cover gaskets were also replaced, and the paint was polished back to like new condition. Please ask if you desire any further information.
