I am selling this Jeep for my parents,It is a 2001 Jeep Cherokee sport with A 4.0 liter inline six engine (great motors) ,automatic trans, 4WD With 89450 miles on it. My parents bought this brand new and used it for many years as a second car/weekend truck for fishing,skiing,etc. This Jeep does run and drive but it does have some rust and mechanical issues which is why we are selling it "AS IS" "WHERE IS" With no warranties or guarantees. We are listing this truck with a $1 starting bid and NO RESERVE. That said this is being listed as a project or parts truck,Because it is far from Perfect although it does have lots of potential for the right person.With the right time and money this would be a great Daily Driver,Winter Driver, Off-road project or even A snow Plowing vehicle.We don't have the time,money or space for any more projects, so it has to go. This Jeep is located at my residence in Northern Westchester county New York, the zip code is 10547 . I will be very available to show this truck throughout the auction as I feel it is very important for potential bidders to come and view the truck so they can determine if this is the right project for them. This Jeep is being advertised locally as well so we do have the right to end the listing early in the event that it sells. The details, The jeep does currently run and drive although it had sat for a while, when it was last driven The brake calipers stuck and the power steering pressure hose blew. We had new front brake calipers and hoses installed . We also had both power steering hoses replaced. At that time it was noted that the front axle joint on the passenger side had failed ( it looks like a U joint, one of the caps came off) We did not replace that. I did however buy a new joint and it is included with the truck, also a clip was needed to connect the 4wd selector handle to the transfer case. Prior to the clip failing the 4wd worked great. Aside from that the truck will also need an exhaust system. AS far as I know that is the bulk of the work that is needed to make this a driver. Now that said this Jeep does have all of it's original components, bushings, tie rods, shocks, etc. They are rusted due to the age of the Jeep and the fact that is it was driven in northeast winters. Rust wise there is rust throughtout the Jeep in various areas top and Bottom which is why It is important to come and view the Jeep so you know what you are buying. The Jeep has power windows and door locks as well as A tow hitch and the A/C Blows cold. Transport of this vehicle will be the winning bidders sole responsibility,Although it does run and drive Towing would be best as this truck has a failed front joint and who knows what else (once again this is an "AS IS" sale) Payment will be in the form of cash.Payment and pickup within 7 days of auction end unless other arrangements have been made with me in advance.
