Vehicle Detail

1946 WF-32 Dodge 1.5 ton truck, 13,500lbs. . Serial number 81355792 This is a PROJECT my late brother started and stopped due to illness back in 2000. His occupation was body work and painting cars, he was refinishing this truck to be a show truck. He finished the cab, doors, fenders (most of the front end), running boards (see photo's) with what I consider excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. The finished parts are painted in Dodge red single stage urethane. The painted parts have been carefully stored and covered with moving blankets and are in excellent condition. The cab has 2 small chips on the back corner. The front end assembly (fenders, front grill, headlights) is/are in perfect condition with no chips or scratches. Most of these parts have been kept indoors except for the chassis and engine, the engine has been covered with tarps. Some miscellaneous items such as the radiators, gas tank, were also outdoors. The truck was driven to it's resting spot and after 10 years of sitting, and to my surprise the engine turned over freely. The spark plugs had considerable rust on them so I soaked the threads with Marvel Mystery oil, waited a couple of weeks and was able to remove them, all the cylinders were dry. Over the years I replaced the tarps a couple of times to keep the rain off the engine. The truck has been disassembled as shown in the pictures and the sheet metal parts that were not painted have been media blasted. These parts were media blasted over 10yrs ago so they will need a clean up before painting. The small parts were placed in the blue tubs when removed, lamps/lenses, brackets, heater, speedometer, gauges, interior trim panels, glass, etc. Some of the interior panels are there along with some of the glass, the glass is cracked and the interior panels are old and need replacing. All the parts and hardware that was removed is in the tubs. There are a few extra parts such as the x-tra hood, radiator, and I saw at least 1 extra headlight housing in one of the boxes. There was another truck my brother had access to and he was able to get some additional parts. Again, see the pictures as they speak for themselves. This is a perfect project for someone who likes old Dodge trucks and is willing to finish, most of the time consuming paint and body work has been completed. Would need to sand blast the chassis, rims, etc., to get the surface rust removed. The frame is/looks solid. I've been holding onto this truck for too long with plans to finish it but really don't have the time, have plenty of other projects, and I also could use the space. This is sold "as-is" and must be towed from where it's located. I will not ship, buyer needs to make arrangements for means to pick up the chassis, cab, front end, and accompanying parts. I would assume at least a flat bed or large trailer would be needed. I will write a "bill of sale" for this vehicle as I am the owner. I you have any questions or need some specific pictures let me know. I also have this listed locally. I reserve the right to end the auction if sold locally. Thanks for looking. Glenn
