This vehicle has 85,630 original miles. The car may have slightly higher mileage due to additional road testing. The original equipment is a 350 V8 motor with turbo hydromatic tranmission instead of the 2 speed which was standard in the earlier 1967s. It has factory power sterring which makes for a very civilized driving experience. This paticular Firebird was originally a medium gold color, which was changed to a faded red deteriorated paint which you see today. To its benifit, the original seats are still covered in the original white vinyl which is in amazing condition. It has the original carpets, although the color is mostly faded away, but there are no signs of excessive wear. The carpets would clean up, or you could have them redyed. The door panels will certainly clean up nicely. Although it will need a new headliner and package tray, you will see the interior is quiet usable as is. Keep in mind that this is a wonderful candidate for a complete restoration if this is your goal. Now for the rust report. You will see rust breaking through above the left rear wheel opening. The photos also show the trunk floor. which will need replacement. The floors and rockers appear to be solid, with only one soft spot area detected on the passenger side floor about the size of an apple. The V8 runs smoothly, the transmission shifts as it should. Also the motor sounds very healthy as it travels through the new dual exhaust system. You will see that the Firebird also has the original style mag wheels which are in good condition.
