Up for auction is a 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup (caddy). I drive this truck daily, and am not afraid to go anywhere in it. It is very dependable. It starts easy hot or cold, and does have a block heater installed. The truck is all origional except for the wheels and tires. I do have the origional tires and wheels which include the VW caps. The truck was painted before I bought it and was yellow, but is now red. The paint is in good condition, and will turn heads when clean. There is a little rust in the bed behind the driver, but not serious. There is a canopy that will go with the truck that is the same color. The motor is the origional 1.6 diesel, not a lot of horse power, but great milage. The engine has 191695 miles on it and as far as I know it is accurate. The engine is a typical 1.6 and will mark its spot. The interior is all origional and is in fair shape. The head liner is the typical and is loose, but is still there. All of the gauges work including the clock. All of the lights and electrics work well. The transmission is a 5 speed and shifts easy in all gears. I just replaced the clutch cable, and the clutch works well. I replaced the front struts when I bought the truck and could find no rust in that area. This is a great truck for a project or just to drive. The title is clear, and in my possession. I will require $500 deposit with in 48 hours from close of the auction, with the balance in 7 days.
