This is a real PHS documented RAM AIR III gto, 1 of 1249. It is in its original colors code 52 red/red. Has a NON ORIGINAL 400 gto motor and its original 4 spd. and 3:55 posi. Older paint shines nice but has several blemishes and is cracked on front bumper, would need paint to be a show car. It has no rust and body is very solid, has original sheetmetal and no holes in trunk or floors and are very clean. Engine has been rebuilt and car drives great. Engine compartment is nicely detailed but rest of car could use a little tlc. Heres what i think it needs, exterior could use some new trim, door handles and marker light bezels are pitted, interior has new headliner but needs tightened up and parts installed, dome lamp, coat hooks ect... which i have and will go with car. doesnt have a radio and needs a package tray. Fuel guage (stuck on full, needs sending unit) , wipers ( may need switch, motor worked) and headlights do not work (all other lights work, has new headlight switch, may need dimmer switch) headlight doors are hooked up and functional but need actuators (have new ones, will include). Overall this is a good driver, wheels have been repainted and tires are like new, brakes have been gone through and still has the original 2 piece rotors. It is a 71 400 gto block with 69 code 62 gto heads with a date correct 69 gto intake and reproduction ram air manifolds and a 68 gto carb. I did not rebuild the motor, so i dont know a lot about it but have the cam specs. It is a comp cams 292 magnum cam with anti pump up lifters to keep the vacuum. i did pull pan and valve covers to inspect and installed new timing chain and gaskets and the inside looks like new. I am a judge for the gtoaa and own a restoration shop and specialize in GTO's and the engine and compartment are assembled mostly correct but as you see in photos, still needs a little work, but as i stated, is a nice driver.
