You are bidding on a nice 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle that is a repairable collision salvage vehicle. We bought this many years ago and were told it needed an oil pan. That the vehicle had gone over a curb and damaged the oil pan. We bought it from a business in New Hampshire and we live in Connecticut. This was going to be a project car for our daughter, but when I finally got to it to replace the pan i found more damage than I was told. At that point it got put on a back burner project and I never got to it. It is now time to clean up and cut our losses. Nowadays the parts should be a lot cheaper from a salvage yard than when we had it. The body is in nice condition. It would need a good cleaning in & out from sitting. The parts I noticed that need to be replaced or repaired are the oil pan which I believe was cracked, the airbags replaced, the transmission (5 speed) when it hit the curb the transmission mount broke off a piece from the transmission case and it bent one of the retainer bolts holding the front sub frame that holds the engine & transmission. I believe the sub frame engine support's bolts (I think 4) can be replaced. All in all, it's not a bad job and I believe it will be a nice car with a little work. GOOD LUCK & HAPPY BIDDING :)
