Hello bidders! Up for grabs today is a 1987 Porsche 928S4 with just under 54,000 miles.The odometer reads 5,603 miles from a speedometer replacement due to irreparable failure of the unit.. As per New Jersey law the speedo must be changed to a new, 0 mile unit and all legal documentation for the replacement be given to owner. I have this complete documentation for you. the 928 had 48,006 at the time of failure and replacement, hence she has 53,609 total miles. That may change a bit due to test drives which all are welcome to do with appointment. For those that haven't seen my auctions before this will be the 35th Porsche I have sold here,including mostly 928's, with no complaints. That being said this one in particular is special as I have only had one other like it in my 20 years as a collector and Porsche enthusiast. it is a very rare optioned 928 being it left the factory with the sport seat interior, the elevated steering wheel, as well as a 40% limited slip differential. Very hard to find indeed! This would be in the top 5 928's I have owned and or driven and for those who know me that is saying something. It runs, drives, turns, and stops as new. no exaggerations. transmission is excellent and the engine is barely broken in. All plastic and rubber bits are still very fresh and the brakes and tires are 90%. The timing belt and waterpump were done at 40k but for reassurance I disassembled and thoroughly checked these and related parts at my shop, Neun Werke German, and found the system to be in excellent repair. I have gone over this car from bumper to bumper and it truly is a well maintained low mile example needing very little attention. There are some bumps and bruises in it's 25yrs. but minimal and hardly a distraction overall. It shows beautifully even in the sun. It comes with 3 keys, all books and some records.There are no cracks in the dash or pod nor rips or tears anywhere. I just had a potential bidder come and take her for a drive and although he loved the 928 and said it was a very nice car and would like to have it, he was more interested in my 911 turbo lol! Anyway the real reason I'm writing this is he said I didn't mention the high end stereo and he was so impressed with it I thought I'd mention it in case any of you are into that sort of thing. Nothing was hacked up and it looks completely stock except for the head unit. Sounds awesome though.
