Vehicle Detail

Up for Auction is a 1996 Mustang GT 4.6L SOHC with a 5-speed Manual Transmission. I purchased this Mustang on a whim (to be completely honest). I drove it for about a month on temp tags, but never went ahead and got legit tags for it. It has a scratch on the driver's door (pictured), but other than that, it looks good for its age. I would list this car as being in Fair to Good condition overall. I did do a little bit of work to it. When I got it, it had a cracked intake (typical of these cars), so I replaced that with the better style and also new plugs and wires, new coils, new radiator (old one was stopped up), new water pump (for giggles because I was already replacing the alternator and drive belt), new serpentine belt, and new alternator. I also did the normal oil change and air filter because I wasn't sure how long it had been. I didn't pay much for the car simply because the person selling it didn't know how to fix it! I have a new center console for it too (the lid for the ash tray is broken), but never got around to fixing that. You can either do what I was going to do and just take the lid off the one and put it in the car, or you can change the whole thing out. That's up to you. I'm the second owner for the car, so it hasn't been fiddled with by too many people. I still needs a fuel pump. It works, but is going bad quickly. Also it needs an electric fan motor. Fuel pump is going to run you about $90 and the fan motor about $80 at your local parts stores. I can let you drive it around my farm, but since I don't have it insured any more, I can't let you take it on the street. Once you put in the fuel pump and fan motor, it should be good to go. I did test the cylinders when I replaced the intake and all were keeping the same average compression. I am not a certified mechanic, so my advice is just off of my experience with Fords and should not lead you to any firm conclusions. I can deliver the car to you for the gas money involved if it is in the Southern Maryland area. Outside of that, you should get temp tags to drive it or tow it home. The furthest I ever drove it was to Chantilly and back, and it didn't give me any problems. However, with the fuel pump going, you may want to think long and hard if you're planning on driving it several hours away. I don't want you to get stuck is all. I have ALOT of little project cars, so if you're also looking for older Ford parts, let me know. I've got a rebuilt 289 with C-6 (tranny is not rebuilt), a flat head intake, and other things that I will sell separately. THE ONLY THING YOU ARE GETTING IN THIS LISTING IS THE CAR WITH THE EXTRA CONSOLE. THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS-IS. I do my best to describe what I think the car is like, but will not be held liable for any mechanical or physical defects of the vehicle. I implore you to come look at the car before you buy it. If you don't, then you get what you get. I have the clear title in hand and will hand it over upon payment.
