The car was purchased new right here in Altoona, PA at Olson Buick (now Fiore Buick) on November 27, 1967. It has a little over 63,300 miles, which appears to be original. Due to the age the title does not state the mileage. This is a very comfortable car and drives very nice. It has the big block Buick 430 with 4 barrel and lots of power. The power reminds me of the LT-1 Roadmasters! The car runs and drives very nice and gets plenty of looks. The steering tracks straight and brakes don’t pull…and rides extremely smooth. The steering is tight and all suspension seems to be in good order. Get in and drive anywhere! Mechanically, the car should not need a thing. Car comes with shop manual, owner’s manual, and 1 original set of GM keys. Exterior: The color is a gorgeous navy blue. The car is very pretty to look at and looks nice enough for the local show or as a driver. It was repainted some time ago, however to be fair and honest the paint job is at best a 20-footer…whoever did the paint job was an amateur. It is shiny and has a decent luster but the finish is not the level of quality one would expect if it was being judged. OK for a driver or the local cruse-in, though. On the positive side, I did not notice any runs or any overspray. The car is kept in a garage, and has been for many years. The body has some filler around the quarters. The prior owner told me several years ago a tree limb hit the right front fender and it was also fixed with bondo….probably fixed by the same guy who painted the car (amateur) and there is a small crack in the filler on the front fender, which is difficult to see in the pictures. The vinyl top was recently replaced and the upholstery shop did a fabulous job. No bubbling underneath the vinyl. The undercarriage is very very clean. Frame is extremely solid and has no heavy rust anywhere to my knowledge. The brightwork is very nice and chrome is decent. Chrome still shines very nice and very presentable as is, but again, it’s not perfect….some spots are wearing thin when you look up real close if you want to get picky. There are a few marks here and there on the paint and chrome, but nothing major that sticks out. It is a very nice car for its age. There is a minor ding on the hood which the camera could not pick up. I imagine it could be repaired via paintless dent removal. There is no rust to speak of on the body. Underneath the doors and trunk lid have some surface scale. I have many more pictures of the car (including the frame/underbody) which I can email upon request. Overall, the exterior is in good condition. Interior: The interior is in great condition. The interior is original except for thecarpet and headliner. The seats are decent, comfortable and clean. The carpet was replaced in recent years. There is no smoke smell in the car. There is a very small perforation on the driver’s seat, almost too small for the camera to pick up but if you look close you can see it in the picture. The door panels are still in great shape too. The dash pad is in great shape without any cracks. There is some alligatoring on a portion of the heat control cluster (see pics). It also looks like the plastic chrome finish was touched up on the left side of the instrument cluster (see pics). The trunk is also clean and had the mat replaced at some point in the past. The trunk does leak some water from the rain which required a few repair patches in the trunk pan, which the prior owner took care of. The power equipment works including the windows, seat, AM radio, and even the power antenna. It also has a vacuum-operated power trunk which works like a charm. Mechanical: The following was done recently: -PA Inspection through next year March 2013 -New oil change, filter & lube -Rear axle fluid checked -Timing & Dwell reset -New bushings in front end -Tires -Shocks -New radiator -New water pump -Spark plugs & wires -New dual exhaust from manifolds back -New bushings in front end -New valve cover gaskets -Transmission fluid and filter changed As stated previously, the car runs beautifully and has lots of power. The Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission shifts smooth and has a good kickdown. Engine does not use any oil, to my knowledge, at least for the 500 or 600 miles I’ve driven it. There are no major leaks to speak of underneath the car. Once in a while you might find a tiny drip on the garage floor, but very minor. The car should not need anything mechanically. I am selling this because I just bought another classic very similar to my first car in high school, and I just don’t have the room. This will make a great vehicle for the next car enthusiast. Overall: If you are looking for a beautiful, reliable, very clean classic Buick in nice shape, this one’s for you. It’s not Barrett Jackson quality but in my opinion this is very suitable as-is and great for the local cruise-in. It runs and drives nicely and will make a very nice classic for you. We get compliments everywhere we go. I have sold several cars on eBay and in all situations had positive feedback. 1968 Buick Electra 225 Coupe / Very clean / 63k original

Due to space restrictions I have decided to sell this beautiful Buick. The car was purchased new right here in Altoona, PA at Olson Buick (now Fiore Buick) on November 27, 1967. It has a little over 63,300 miles, which appears to be original. Due to the age the title does not state the mileage. This is a very comfortable car and drives very nice. It has the big block Buick 430 with 4 barrel and lots of power. The power reminds me of the LT-1 Roadmasters! The car runs and drives very nice and gets plenty of looks. The steering tracks straight and brakes don’t pull…and rides extremely smooth. The steering is tight and all suspension seems to be in good order. Get in and drive anywhere! Mechanically, the car should not need a thing. Car comes with shop manual, owner’s manual, and 1 original set of GM keys.
Exterior:
The color is a gorgeous navy blue. The car is very pretty to look at and looks nice enough for the local show or as a driver. It was repainted some time ago, however to be fair and honest the paint job is at best a 20-footer…whoever did the paint job was an amateur. It is shiny and has a decent luster but the finish is not the level of quality one would expect if it was being judged. OK for a driver or the local cruse-in, though. On the positive side, I did not notice any runs or any overspray. The car is kept in a garage, and has been for many years. The body has some filler around the quarters. The prior owner told me several years ago a tree limb hit the right front fender and it was also fixed with bondo….probably fixed by the same guy who painted the car (amateur) and there is a small crack in the filler on the front fender, which is difficult to see in the pictures. The vinyl top was recently replaced and the upholstery shop did a fabulous job. No bubbling underneath the vinyl. The undercarriage is very very clean. Frame is extremely solid and has no heavy rust anywhere to my knowledge. The brightwork is very nice and chrome is decent. Chrome still shines very nice and very presentable as is, but again, it’s not perfect….some spots are wearing thin when you look up real close if you want to get picky. There are a few marks here and there on the paint and chrome, but nothing major that sticks out. It is a very nice car for its age. There is a minor ding on the hood which the camera could not pick up. I imagine it could be repaired via paintless dent removal. There is no rust to speak of on the body. Underneath the doors and trunk lid have some surface scale. I have many more pictures of the car (including the frame/underbody) which I can email upon request. Overall, the exterior is in good condition.
Interior:
The interior is in great condition. The interior is original except for the
carpet and headliner. The seats are decent, comfortable and clean. The carpet was replaced in recent years. There is no smoke smell in the car. There is a very small perforation on the driver’s seat, almost too small for the camera to pick up but if you look close you can see it in the picture. The door panels are still in great shape too. The dash pad is in great shape without any cracks. There is some alligatoring on a portion of the heat control cluster (see pics). It also looks like the plastic chrome finish was touched up on the left side of the instrument cluster (see pics). The trunk is also clean and had the mat replaced at some point in the past. The trunk does leak some water from the rain which required a few repair patches in the trunk pan, which the prior owner took care of. The power equipment works including the windows, seat, AM radio, and even the power antenna. It also has a vacuum-operated power trunk which works like a charm.

As stated previously, the car runs beautifully and has lots of power. The Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission shifts smooth and has a good kickdown. Engine does not use any oil, to my knowledge, at least for the 500 or 600 miles I’ve driven it. There are no major leaks to speak of underneath the car. Once in a while you might find a tiny drip on the garage floor, but very minor. The car should not need anything mechanically. I am selling this because I just bought another classic very similar to my first car in high school, and I just don’t have the room. This will make a great vehicle for the next car enthusiast.
Overall:
If you are looking for a beautiful, reliable, very clean classic Buick in nice shape, this one’s for you. It’s not Barrett Jackson quality but in my opinion this is very suitable as-is and great for the local cruise-in. It runs and drives nicely and will make a very nice classic for you. We get compliments everywhere we go. I have sold several cars on eBay and in all situations had positive feedback.
