I am offering for sale with no reserve to the highest bidder my 1993 Dodge Caravan. I am the 3rd owner. This vehicle was purchased new by an older woman and was garaged until her death. It then was given to her nephew, a very good and long time friend of mine; with something in the neighborhood of 42,000 miles on it. He drove it to Florida and I got it from him and when I registered it in Florida it had 43156 miles on it. That was about 2 1/2 half years ago. I replaced the A/C system just after I got it, and all 4 tires were replaced at just over 51,000 miles. The tires have been rotated and rebalanced and are in great condition. I recently replaced the valve cover gaskets, and the oil has been changed on a regular basis. All the power windows, power drivers seat, power rear vents, power hatch release, radio, wipers, and A/C; function perfectly. However, the paint is faded, the fiberglass trim around the wood grain is peeling, and the drivers seat leather is showing wear. The car is all original and aside from some minor nicks and chips, this car was dent free until last Monday. That is when my neighbor backed into it when it was parked in front of my house. This damage to the drivers door can be seen in a photo. The main issue is the transmission. When you slow down or come to a stop, the transmission does not always drop back to first gear. I sometimes have to manually move the shifter to the low setting and back to drive to make it start off in first gear. I am told there may be a bad speed sensor or relay or something electronic that needs replacing. When driving the transmission acts normal and upshifts and downshifts like it is supposed to. I mainly use the car to take the dog to the park and drive my granddaughter to school and can't afford to have a problem on the road.
