Vehicle Detail

Well never thought this day was going to come.. I have owned this 1969 Dodge Charger for the last 10 years of my life. I purchased it in PA from a Marine who had it in storage over 8 years while he was deployed. When I got the car it had been my daily driver for a little less then a year until it turned into a weekend cruiser. Then in 2005 it went into storage only coming out once or twice a year. I had started trying to gather up more and more parts to finally build her the way I wanted too but now school bills are catching up and I'm forced to part with the car for now. I have invested alot of money over the years into this car and installed many new parts. Originally it was a 318/904 combo and later swapped to a 440/727 set up. The engine wiring harness was bought brand new and completely redone. It was also converted to a complete electronic ignition set up. The motor itself only has mild bolt on modifications. It has a Holley 770 Street Avenger Carb as well as an aluminum torker manifold. It has 2.5" black ceramic coated headers going back to a full 3" h-pipe exhaust with flowmaster super40 mufflers. The 727 has a FORWARD pattern turbo action cheetah manual valve body as well as an external trans cooler. It also has a Moroso overflow tank and Autometer oil pressure and water temp gauges. It has a 4.30 posi rear end in it currently but will also come with the stock gear. The front suspension has been complete rebuilt and the car sits on magnum 500 wheels with smaller tires upfront and wider in the rear (295/50/15). The interior is in good condition only showing minor signs of wear. I had the back seat reupholstered to factory 69 R/T pattern and installed a new rear package tray and glove box lining. There are no rips or tears in the fronts. The dash pad does however have a couple of cracks in it as well as the steering wheel. The headliner also has a tear in the front seam. I had a stereo shop install an aftermarket stereo system with a Sony headunit and new speakers and put in a set of aftermarket R/T floor mats. The body of the car is in overall good condition. I had been told by the previous owner that before he had took possession of the car it had previously been restored in hopes to make a dukes of hazard clone car. It has some rust in the lower rear panels and a few other rust bubbles starting to pop up here and there. One night when I had left the car parked outside when it was on daily driver duties someone had came by and poured some kind of chemical on it which ate up the paint on the driver side of the car. I ended up just spraying primer over it just to avoid any other rusting. I had plans to respray the car in a different color anyway the time just never came. You can see in the pictures the different spots it had damaged. The rear valance also had some damage to it. The previous owner was on a golf course and backed up into a cart and bent in the back corner a bit. The repair is not so great but it was just meant to be done as less of an eye sore until the car could properly be stripped back down to bare metal and repaired correctly. The front bumper is brand new but has one small small nick on it that is barely noticeable. The car has been sitting for a while and does need some work. The last time it had been started was last year. I put in new plugs and wires aswell as a cap and rotor. However I can't seem to get it to stay idle on its own. It will only stay idling while I spray starting fluid into the carb. I pulled the alternator off to look at the fuel pump and rod but I'm assuming it is just bad gas in the tank because I have never had this issue in the past. I always added a gallon or two and strapped in a battery and it has always fired right up. The exhaust will also need to be reconnected. I had it custom built on the car when it still had the stock exhaust manifolds and never had it rewelded to the new headers. I'm sure there is alot I'm forgetting but it is a VERY complete car so please message me with any questions/concerns. The car also has a trunkload of spare parts I will be giving with it.
