2000 BMW 740IL117,900 miles PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY, CAR IS PRICED WAY BELOW VALUE AND WILL NEED SOME WORK - I DO NOT WANT TO MISREPRESENT ANYTHING. SOLD AS IS WHERE IS - ASK QUESTIONS AND READ BEFORE BIDDING. CAR RUNS AND DRIVES. This car has some sort of transmission problem. It shifts through all 4 gears and does not slip or kick. However, there is power loss when shifting into 1st gear. When put into drive and accelerator is pushed, car accelerates slower than normal. 2nd, 3rd, 4th gears all shift normal once car gets up to speed. Reverse gear also shifts fine. I had the car checked by mechanic and paid 250.00 for diagnostics and was told that it may be transmission sensor / module or may be that the entire transmission needs to be rebuilt / replaced. I do not have the money to put into it for further diagnostics or repairs. Selling AS IS where is - my loss is your gain if you know how to repair this 7 Series or have the experience. Body on the car is very straight, no rust. Interior is decent, but will need leather repair work on the driver seat - it is faded and headliner is sagging and may need to be redone as well. Electronics work fine. NAV, windows are good. Motor runs strong and smooth - no blow by smoke evident.
