Vehicle Detail
Here we have a '88 Mustang convertible which is in very good condition for its age. I believe the mileage to be correct, although I don't have paperwork to prove it. Leather interior is clean and does not show much wear or cracking. It has a new top which is power up and down, and the rear window is clear and unscratched. Tires are practically new BF Goodrich Comp T/A 225/60R15 M+S with about 4000 miles on them. The car drives great! The body shows no rust, and has had a paint job recently. The 5.0 L engine starts easily, and purrs like a kitten. A JVC radio w/ FM, AM, and CD player produces great sound. Now some issues with the car. The power mirrors do not work, and I haven't had time to even see if it might be a fuse as the power door locks do not work either. The low coolant light stays on, although the coolant level is fine. A mechanic familiar with '88 Mustangs told me it could be fixed by cleaning a float sensor in the coolant resevoir. The power windows all work, although the rear windows do not seem to track properly. You have to guide them up so they fit against the front windows. I haven't had the panel off to see how serious this problem is. Here is your chance to get a fun auto at a reasonable price. The reserve is low for this low mileage classic, but I just have too many toys to keep everything in the garage this winter. Happy bidding!! Feel free to e-mail questions. I would like a $500 deposit at the close of the auction, with the balance due within 5 days. The balance can be paid by certified check or cash upon picking up the car. I would also consider delivering the car by trailer for $1.50/mile one way, although you arranging shipping, or picking it up would probably be better. I would trust to car to drive anywhere in the States.
