Up for sale is a 1967 Mercedes Benz 230. We acquired the car thru a trade without knowing if it would run or not as it wasnt ran in 4 years. We got it back home, put a battery in it, some fresh gas and fuel filters and away she went. This car is a blast to drive and actually gets quite a few looks and thumbs up. The car appears to be all original and unmolested to me, possibly a repaint back in the day but overall nothing looks out of ordinary except radio. Please read on for more details of this collector!!!ENGINE: The engine is a straight 6 cylinder with dual carbs on it, once it warms up it drives reall good. Unsure if car has only 74xxx miles on it, or 974xxx miles on it, it runs pretty good, does have lifter clatter, but oil pressure is great and always starts.TRANSMISSION: The Transmission is a sought after 4 speed manual on the floor, hits all gears fine and is really fun to drive.BODY: The paint on car is weatherchecked all over, does have various rust spots and bumps and bruises like scrapes and such, After all it is a 1967, how do we look after 55yrs.INTERIOR: The interior is actually in nice shape, some fraying of fabric on weather stripping, but overall the interior shows well. Small chip in top of windshield, not huge crack hardly noticable. car has tinted windows, was gonna remove but decided to leave that for buyer to decide.EXHAUST: Looks to be pretty newTIRES and BRAKES: Tires all hold air fine and ride down road fine. Brakes appear to stop as they shouldSUSPENSION: The suspension has some creaks and such and will need a good lube or gone thru as it has been sitting in bone dry storage for 4 years.The radio works, all headlights, blinkers, high beams, fan blows fine, ALL WORKS. Even the wiper switch on floor as well as steering column, ALL worksHonestly the car is fun to drive and will drive for a long time the way it sits, It can be bought and driven just the way it sits.
