Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1957 oval bug i picked up with the intension of building a rat rod but moving forces sale... Everything is there to build a rat rod if you are looking for a restoration project this might not be for you, but i have fixed bugs in worse shape than this. Overall its not in terrible shape. I have all 4 fenders, doors, hood, 2 deck lids one fiberglass W and a steel original W lid, all seats, dash parts. When i got the car it was all complete and togeter we stripped it down boxed all parts and that is where its at. The motor and tranny are probably no good but i have a couple of other 1600 engines and parts that i will sell with the auction. The original pan is there, has rust on the pans but in good shape. The car is sold with a bill of sale i dont have the title because the previouse owner lost it in a fire. E-mail any questions or call Carlos at 352-792-7514 NOTE: i had to select Clear Title in the description so i can post the ad but THERE IS NO TITLE ONLY BILL OF SALE MORE PICTURES WILL BE ADDED SOON.............On Aug-15-12 at 04:39:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added additional pictures that i have taken of the car and parts. As you can see on the rear left corner of the oval window i sprayed it with Ospho let it sit for about 10 min and scuffed it with a red scuff pad and the metal looks great underneath. The rust seen on the car is only surface rust almost like a powder like. I stripped the hole car and had it all nice but with the move and getting stuff out of the garage i took the car out and with my luck that night it poured down rain, but like i said it will clean up nice or just rat it its your call. The blue W lid is fiberglass and in great shape, The cream colored W is i believe a 62 lid witch is useable for a rat. And the rusty W is restorable but like i said before the intension of this originally was to build a rusty 57 rat on bags and nice drive train to daily drive, but thats just a dream now i have to get rid of it. You can see pictures of all the fenders, hood, glass, seats, and plastic bins with original tail lamps with housings, all interior parts that were removed, headlight buckets with matching lenzes, and hardware. the only thing i throug out was the carpet everything else is there. You will also see a pile of parts in the shed and they all go with the sale. NOTE: if reserve is met i will also include a rebuildable 1951 motor with crank handle nut on pully that came out of a 51 bus. This motor is dissasembled but very desireable. I know if i was to part the car out and sell all parts on e-bay i will get way more than my reserve but i dont have the time to do that. someone offered me 5oo.oo for the oval section and W lid and i turned it down so please dont ask to part or sell parts .......
