We ran this last week and had 175 people watching the car after it ended with no bid, my email filled with people who wanted the car so im re listing it. it gets alot of attention everywhere you goThis is a rare find, This 1953 Buick super 8 runs like a champ, completely unmolested, all original, everything works other than dash lights. needs either restored or go rat rod. I would restore her as she is in beautiful condition. I take her on the freeway and she was made to fly. This car was stored for 40 years all fluids were drained before storing. I've put almost 1k miles on her since rescuing her from a barn. it is 100% complete as far as i can tell not 1 part missing. Even has the original owners manual. the previous owner bought her new off the showroom floor and babied her till he got to old to drive and in the barn she went. Since it was properly stored all i had to do to get her running was to add fresh gas and new points. I love this car but not in a position to restore it, and it deserves to be made new again after surviving this long and this well. very little rust, solid floor boards, solid trunk, and all doors open and close perfectly. She turns over and starts instantly. In the Super 8 Series 50 cars, the vee on the front of the hood gave an indication to what lay underneath. The Nailhead V8 displaced 322 cubic-inches and produced 170 horsepower. The three-speed manual gearbox was standard with the Dynaflow automatic available as optional equipment. The Super 8 Buick's received standard wheel covers and a horizontal trim bar on its rear fenders. The best equipped Super 8 was the Convertible which had power windows, seats, and a top, as standard.
