Rare find Arizona desert survivor car with mostly original paint!! Never out of Arizona!!!!! This is the most rust free 68 gt fastback that I have ever seen! Never rusted super straight, with what appears to be the original beautiful deluxe two tone original interior! This is the real deal factory built S code 390 big block GT Fastback and 4 speed with factory in dash tach and console. Car runs like a monster, I purchased the car from the same owner of 25 years. Has several performance modifications from the 80s such as Mallory distributor, exhaust Headers with dual exhaust, chrome valve covers, fairly new edelbrock 4 barrel carb, performance aluminum intake manifold, chrome air cleaner, performance water pump and cooling fan, performance cam with a nice healthy lopey idle. Car is a lot of fun to drive and runs cool even in our 110 degree weather. Manual steering, power front disc brakes, am radio, original gt wheels and steering wheel. 81,974 original miles. Must be seen and driven to be believed, what a rare find! Brand new centerforce clutch. Negatives horn doesnt work, plastic kick panels by carpet have a few cracks and pieces missing, dash pad looks good but has a small piece missing that can be seen only when passenger door is opened. speedo just started jumping around and working intermittantly (may need a new speedo cable) has a few chips in the paint from normal use but they are very minor and do not detract from its gorgeous appearance and paint still has lots of shine.,Was a factory ac car however ac and heat boxes were removed years ago boxes under hood and dash are included in sale no ac compressor or under hood parts included, floor on drivers side has about a 8 inch tear from running over a curb it is a simple fix or can be driven as is. All that has to be done is hammer it down and weld a bead (easy job). I wanted to leave it untouched as you can see how minor it is in the picture. I am starting the auction at $1000 with no reserve. HOWEVER IT HAS A 1967 428 COBRA JET MOTOR!!! THE ENGINE CASTING NUMBER IS C7ME . THERE IS NO VIN NUMBER ON THE MOTOR. HE STRONGLY BELIEVES THAT THE 428 MAY BE A WARRANTY REPLACEMENT MOTOR INSTALLED BY THE DEALER, AS HE SAID THAT THERE IS NO VIN BY THE STARTER.
