Vehicle Detail

This is an early (Feb 1965) Ford Mustang 2+2 HiPo (K-Code) with low miles. It is a true head turner in many ways. The exhaust growls like a NASCAR, and the black on black beauty is simply stunning. It's a car you could fall in love with if you swing that way. ;) I bought this jewel as an investment in october 2010 at Mecum in St Charles at a hammer price of $39,000. Since then, I have installed a concourse Arvinode exhaust (http://www.waldronexhaust.com/arvinodedualexhaust.htm) at a cost of $1,078.90, and a certified remanufactured concourse Autolite 4100 1.12 carbuerator and various parts from Pony Carbuertors (http://www.ponycarburetors.com/default.asp?page=carburetors) at a cost of $1,176.80. I have paid WV sales tax of 5%, and a hammer price of 6%, so my total investment in this automobile is $45,545.70. I have copies of all titles to the car since new. This is a true low mile investment grade car. This is the car Carol Shelby would order to make his Shelby Mustangs. It is a HiPo (High performance) 289/271HP 4 speed fastback. It is ready for car shows. What more can I say? I have 175 pictures on Photobucket. Click here for 175 pictures! http://s1123.photobucket.com/albums/l547/wvmustangs/1965%20Mustang%202%20plus%202%20HiPo/ The reason I am selling is to make more room in my auto-cave. There are 6 vehicles in here, and I want to get rid of at least one. I will also be listing my black on black 67 4spd 289 car. It pretty much looks just like this car. Whichever of them sells first goes. The other I keep. I will work out shipping details with the buyer. I was in the logistics business for 20 years, so nothing is over my head. edit: All glass in car is original CarLite glass. The windshield is a bit pitted as you can imagine. There are many spare parts I am throwing in for the buyer. Included are Holley Double Pumper Carb, Shelby reproduction 4bbl intake manifold, complete dual exhaust (flowmaster I believe) with all hangers, set of headers for 289, and a set of NOS windshield wiper blades still in original packaging.. IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION - PLEASE READ!!!!! 9 AUG 2012: I just found out this is not the original block in the car. A buyer was here, and pointed it out. I pulled the starter from the car, and as it turns out the block has a date code of 5H23, which is 23 AUG 1965. The car was assembled in FEB 1965. For this reason, I am lowering my buy it now price to $39,000. I have declined an offer of $40,000, but I thought it only right with this new information.
