Vehicle Detail
This is a 1969 Ford Mustang Grande 302 V-8 with a 4 bbl Holley carburetor, headers and dual exhaust. It has power steering and front disc-brakes. I bought the car in 2000 and began restoring it from the ground up. Any part of the car with rust was replaced and the body remains in near perfect condition. The entire interior was gutted and everything was replaced with the original features. The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears on the front seats or back bench seat. The dash is very good shape with only a few minor blemishes. The door panels are pristine as well. The wood grain trim, including the clock, adds that special Grande touch. The car has the original AM radio, but it currently does not work. The original rim blown steering wheel does. The car was painted a Midnight Blue that looks black at night but a fantastic shade of dark blue in the sunlight. It is a real looker with the white vinyl top, white interior, and chrome accents. The vinyl top looks great but has a few cuts from installation. There is no damage under the top, but once you are looking closely the cuts are visible. In preparation to sell it and make sure it was running at tip-top shape we took it to a mechanic for a full tune up. The carburetor was broken down and re-built, we replaced the thermostat, the water pump and a few hoses. All the fluids were replaced and the entire fuel system has been cleaned out. The car idles just perfectly and has a lot of pick up. This baby can fly! It has a C4 automatic transmission that runs greats and shifts smoothly. During the restoration front disc brakes were added as well as new shocks and springs. Four brand new tires were put on just last month and the chrome hubcaps are beautiful. Lifting up the hood you will see a nicely restored engine compartment. The entire engine compartment was gutted, painted and reassembled. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. The trunk has a full size spare tire with cover and trunk mat. It is a very clean car and the trunk is no exception. All the lights, interior and exterior work perfectly. I have a full picture album of the entire restoration process and would be more than happy to send any additional pictures upon request. This car is a beauty and so much fun to drive. It is being sold because I have just started a family, we are moving, and I don't have the time or resources to devote to it any longer. Instead of having it sit we want it to find a new home with someone who will enjoy it. It has been in a few local car shows and always draws a lot of attention. Since the restoration, the car has been garage-kept and has not seen any snow. It has been covered in the garage during the winter months when it is not being driven. Please understand that this is still a 40 year old car and should be bought with that understanding. There is NO WARRANTY written or implied and anyone buying this car should do so with the understanding that it is SOLD AS IS. If bidding on this car please have your funds available before bidding. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The deposit can be made through wire transfer, cash, or certified check, but must be received within 48 hours. Full payment and pick-up is required within 7 days of the auction ending. If you cannot pick up the car within the 7 days please contact me before bidding and we may be able to work something out. I may be able to deliver this vehicle to anyone within 200 miles (located in Louisville, Ky) for a fee. Once again, please contact me before bidding to arrange that. Otherwise, it will be the buyer's responsibility to pick up the car. I have the clear title which will be handed over after full payment has been received. Full payment will only be received through cash, wire transfer or certified check. NO PAYPAL.
