1974 VW beetle for sale by owner since 1975. Driven only in Southern California so very little body rust. Engine replaced with new long block in 2011, also has new ignition coil. Have service records since 1975. Total mileage around 225000 miles, but only 2520 miles on the new engine. Multiple dings on doors, fenders, and rear engine hood. Multiple cracks on the dash vinly trim. Original left front fender--included in auction--is significantly dented (but can be pounded out and repainted). No other accident damage. Rear seat is included in auction. I have added a high current relay in series with the ignition switch to more reliably energize the starter motor. Tires need to be replaced. Window crank mechanisms need to be cleaned/lubricated (bind now). There are several front windshield pebble dings and a few cracks. All in all this is a good candidate for restoration. Included in auction are two VW service/maintenance books. No reserve price on this auction. Payment: Cash in person, to be paid at my bank within seven days of auction close.
